Noah Fant Fantasy Football News | Shark Bites

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

The Cincinnati Bengals have been moving WR Tee Higgins into the slot more this offseason, according to Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.

The Bengals have signed TE Noah Fant. The veteran was released on July 20 after three seasons in Seattle.

The Seahawks have released TE Noah Fant. He spent the past three years with the team after arriving from Denver in the 2022 Russell Wilson trade. Seattle exercised the option on Fant's rookie contract for 2023 and then signed him to a two-year, $21 million contract ahead of last season. The release frees up $9 million in non-guaranteed money under Seattle's 2025 salary cap.

Seahawks TE Elijah Arroyo said he's no longer battling the knee issue that limited him during the pre-draft process. Recall that Arroyo didn't run at the NFL Combine or Miami's Pro Day. However, per ESPN's Brady Henderson, the Seahawks estimated Arroyo's forty-time at 4.52 or 4.53 based on in-game GPS speeds.

The Seahawks selected Miami TE Elijah Arroyo in Round 2 of the 2025 NFL Draft. Arroyo caught just five balls as a true freshman in 2021, tore his ACL in 2022, and finished with one catch in 2023. But he flashed exciting playmaking ability this past year, catching 35 balls for 590 yards and seven TDs. Arroyo garnered just 9.5% of Hurricanes targets, while his 17.7% Dominator Rating ranked 11th among 21 TEs at the Combine. But he was very efficient, averaging a huge 16.9 yards per catch and ranking 19th in yards per route among 86 qualifying TEs. Arroyo was a field stretcher, with an 11.1-yard average target depth and eight catches 20+ yards downfield – fourth most among TEs. But he was at his best after the catch, leading all FBS TEs with 8.9 yards after the catch per reception. Arroyo didn’t test at the Combine or his Pro Day, but he looks like an excellent athlete at 250 pounds on tape. He creates separation at all levels of the field and adds value with his speed and agility after the catch. Arroyo ran 51% of his routes from the slot last year and projects as a catch-first TE at the next level.

Seahawks TE Noah Fant caught three balls for 26 yards in Sunday's win over the Jets. That marked his return after missing three games with a back injury.

Seahawks TE Noah Fant (groin) was a full-go in Wednesday's practice. That puts him on track to return for this weekend's game vs. the Jets after missing the past three games. Fant has averaged 3.4 catches and 36 yards per game this season. He's not a recommended TE1 play against the Jets' fourth-ranked TE defense.

        2:59pm UTC 11/24/24

Seahawks TE Noah Fant (groin) is inactive for today’s game vs. the Cardinals. That should mean another full-time role for TE A.J. Barner, who’s a viable replacement if you were hoping to use Fant today.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport says "it'll be close" whether TE Noah Fant (groin) will be able to play against the Cardinals today. He was a full-go in Friday's practice but is listed as questionable. Seattle elevated TE Tyler Mabry from the practice squad on Saturday, suggesting concern about Fant's ability. We won't get Seattle's inactives until a little before 3 pm ET today, making this a situation to avoid in Week 12 fantasy lineups.

Seahawks TE Noah Fant (groin) is listed as questionable for this weekend’s game vs. the Cardinals. He was a full-go in Friday’s practice, though, so he should play. Fant ranks just 28th among TEs in PPR points per game and isn’t a recommended fantasy start against Arizona’s 12th-ranked TE defense.

Seahawks TE Noah Fant (groin) is out for Sunday’s game vs. the 49ers. Rookie TE A.J. Barner replaced Fant as Seattle’s lead TE last time out, posting a 4-27-0 line on seven targets and an 86% route rate. He’d be a desperation season-long play but is a salary-saving option in DFS.

Seahawks TE Noah Fant (groin) did not practice on Wednesday. He missed Seattle's last game before the Week 10 bye and isn't looking like a great bet to make it back for this Sunday's game vs. the 49ers. Rookie TE A.J. Barner replaced Fant as the Seahawks' lead TE in Week 10, posting a 4-27-0 line on seven targets and an 86% route rate. He'd be in play as a cheap DFS flier if Fant is out again.

Seahawks TE Noah Fant (groin) is out for this weekend's game vs. the Rams. He appears to have been injured on Wednesday and didn't practice on Thursday or Friday. Fant's absence figures to give rookie A.J. Barner a crack at lead duties on Sunday. He's no more than a DFS tournament flier.

Seahawks WR D.K. Metcalf is considered "week to week" with a Grade 1 MCL sprain suffered in the Week 7 win over the Falcons, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. Seattle gets the Bills and Rams the next two weeks before a Week 10 bye, so it's possible we don't see Metcalf again until Week 11.

Seahawks TE Noah Fant rebounded in the wrong direction Monday night against the Lions. After 6 receptions for 60 yards in the Week 3 win over the Dolphins, he drew just 2 targets in the loss at Detroit. That's especially disappointing when you realize that QB Geno Smith attempted 56 passes on the night. Fellow TEs A.J. Barner and Pharaoh Brown matched Fant's 2 targets, and Barner caught Smith's lone TD pass in the game.

Seahawks TE Noah Fant (toe) practiced all week, including a full workout on Friday, and isn’t listed on the final injury report for this weekend’s opener vs. the Broncos. Fant missed some time in August with this foot injury, but it doesn’t look like it’ll be an issue going forward.

Seahawks TE Noah Fant (toe) was limited in Wednesday's practice. Fant was sidelined for part of August with a previously undisclosed injury, which we now know is to his toe. The limited practice should put him on track to play vs. the Broncos on Sunday, but hopefully you have a more reliable option for your fantasy lineup this week.
