Juwan Johnson Fantasy Football News | Shark Bites

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

Saints TEs Juwan Johnson (ankle), Taysom Hill (knee), and Foster Moreau (knee) are active for today’s game against the Giants. Hill and Moreau are making their 2025 debuts and shouldn’t be in fantasy lineups. But we’ll be keeping a close eye on Hill’s role in HC Kellen Moore’s offense. Johnson got in two limited practices this week and was listed as questionable. The ankle issue – coupled with Hill and Moreau’s returns – makes Johnson a riskier fantasy play than he was the last few weeks.

Saints TEs Taysom Hill (knee) and Foster Moreau (knee) are expected to play vs. the Giants on Sunday, according to The Times-Picayune's Jeff Duncan. Both guys were activated from the PUP list earlier this week and will be making their 2025 debuts.

Saints TE Juwan Johnson (ankle) is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game vs. the Giants. He got in limited practices on Thursday and Friday, so we’re expecting him to play. TEs Taysom Hill (knee) and Foster Moreau (knee) are also listed as questionable after being activated from the PUP list earlier this week. Neither is a fantasy option right now, but they could add some downside risk to Johnson’s profile.

Saints TE Juwan Johnson (ankle) returned to a limited practice on Thursday. That should have him on track to play vs. the Giants this weekend, but we'll see how Johnson is listed on the final injury report tomorrow.

Saints TE Juwan Johnson (ankle) did not practice on Wednesday. He got banged up during last week's loss to the Bills but was able to return to that game. We're expecting Johnson to play against the Giants on Sunday but will keep you updated on his status over the next few days.

Saints TE Juwan Johnson led the team with eight catches and 76 yards in the Week 1 loss to the Cardinals. His 11 targets ranked second behind only WR Chris Olave’s 13 and were a 23.9% share.

Saints TE Juwan Johnson is dealing with a groin injury. According to Nick Underhill of New Orleans Football, the 28-year-old avoided anything serious and should only miss a few days.

Update: Johnson was back at practice in pads on Thursday, according to Underhill. Nothing to see here.

Saints TE Juwan Johnson described new HC Kellen Moore's system as a "fast-break offense." Johnson added that he's "really excited" about the scheme.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports that Saints QB Derek Carr has a shoulder injury that might cost him the upcoming season.

The Saints have agreed to a deal with WR Brandin Cooks, according to NFL Network. ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that it's a two-year deal worth $13 million. That's a surprising amount for the current version of Cooks. DeAndre Hopkins and Mike Williams, for example, each signed one-year deals worth about $6 million with their new teams this offseason.

The Saints have agreed to a three-year deal with TE Juwan Johnson. NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports that it'll pay $30.75 million, with a max value of $34.5 million and $21.25 million guaranteed

Saints TE Juwan Johnson (knee) is active for today’s game vs. the Bucs. He was limited in practice all week and listed as questionable, so Johnson carries more risk than usual in Week 18 fantasy lineups.

Saints TE Juwan Johnson (knee) was limited in practice all week and is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game vs. the Bucs. We’ll get New Orleans’ inactives around 11:30 am ET on Sunday.

Saints interim HC Darren Rizzi informed the team today that QB Jake Haener will start this weekend's game vs. the Commanders, according to insider Nick Underhill. It'll be Haener's first career start. The 2023 fourth-round pick has completed just 49% of his 29 passes in mop-up duty across four different games this season. Try to avoid Haener and the entire Saints passing game in fantasy lineups this week. New Orleans is implied for only 18 points.

Saints TE Juwan Johnson caught a third-quarter TD from Derek Carr, the only receiving TD in the Saints/Giants game. With TE Taysom Hill likely sidelined for some time, Johnson has taken over the receiving work, especially in the red zone. He caught four of five targets for 50 yards and the lone TD.

Saints TE Taysom Hill suffered a torn ACL and "additional damage" to his left knee in the Week 13 loss to the Rams, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. That ends Hill's 2024 season and might challenge his availability for the start of the 2025 campaign. Hill will turn 35 in August. He's signed with the Saints through 2025.

Saints TE Taysom Hill managed just 50 total yards in Sunday's win over the Falcons. He carried four times for 14 yards and caught both of his targets for 36 more. Hill accrued 34 of those yards of one short completion, which actually went for an 88-yard TD. But it came back to the Saints' 36-yard line on a Foster Moreau holding penalty.

The Saints on Tuesday activated TE Juwan Johnson from the physically unable to perform list. He had foot surgery in June and had been rehabbing since. But Johnson returns to the field with more than two weeks to prepare for the regular-season opener.
