WR Malik Nabers has been the most impressive player at Giants camp so far, according to most accounts. The rookie has impressed with his downfield speed, route running, and hands.
What They're Saying
SNY TV's Connor Hughes: "Nabers might be the Giants' most explosive player in years. I understand he’s a rookie. Brian Daboll consistently references how far is still has to go. Still, it’s reached a point in camp where whenever Nabers is on the field … you have to watch him. His releases off the line, agility and speed make him borderline uncoverable. Not only is he consistently open, but the step he has on a defender evolves to two, three and four as he separates like few I’ve covered."
USA Today's Art Stapleton: "Malik Nabers has that special quality the Giants have not had since Odell Beckham Jr.: he demoralizes defenses. Even then, I think Nabers might be better at the top of his routes than OBJ was as a rookie."
2024 Fantasy Football Impact
None of this comes as a surprise if you watched Nabers at LSU the past couple of years. The guy is electric both before and after the catch. And it's nice to get confirmation that it's translating to an NFL field.
QB play is a concern for Nabers this year. (Daniel Jones has reportedly been up and down in camp so far.) But Nabers should see a ton of targets for an offense in desperate need of a playmaker.
The rookie checks in 21st in the WR rankings.
