Falcons TE Kyle Pitts had a limited practice on Wednesday due to a hamstring injury per HC Raheem Morris. Per Morris, Pitts tweaked his hamstring a few weeks ago and has been practicing through it. There doesn't seem to be much worry about Pitts' availability on Sunday against the Steelers.
Josh Kendall of The Athletic: "Kyle Pitts will be limited at Falcons practice today because of a hamstring injury, but Raheem Morris doesn’t sound overly worried that it will affect Sunday’s game."
Excitement was building around Pitts potential role with a brand new offense in Atlanta, but this hamstring injury puts a slight damper on the optimism.
Any injury that pops up this late in the process should be concerning with the limited time to recover before playing on Sunday. Though he suffered the injury a few weeks back, the fact that it is lingering is concerning.
Though it appears likely that Pitts will play on Sunday against the Steelers, it is a situation worth monitoring to see if Pitts will practice in full later this week. If limited practices continue, questions about Pitts potential effectiveness are fair.
If Pitts can play, he has a prime opportunity against the Steelers to flash the potential fantasy managers have been waiting for since Pitts was drafted.
A loaded supporting cast, improved QB play, and offensive continuity set the stage for Atlanta to deliver serious fantasy value in 2025.
