Chiefs WR Marquise Brown (shoulder) remained sidelined for Wednesday's practice. HC Andy Reid said that Brown's shoulder still has healing to do before he'll be cleared to play.
Reid on Brown's dislocated shoulder: “They all set a little different, so it’s something that has to move to get back into place. They all set just a little different and heal [differently] from what I understand; I’m not a physician by any means. They’re all just a bit different. You’re talking just centimeters of it being off can be a problem, so you want to make sure those things are healed — and that they’re actually in the right spots. We’re having him see different people that are experts at that. I don’t think there’s a ton of data on it — especially in our field, here.”
Based on Reid's comments, we don't get the vibe that Brown is a good bet to play vs. the Bengals this weekend. We'll see if that changes by the end of the week, but fantasy owners should not be counting on Brown in Week 2 fantasy lineups.
His absence would make WR Xavier Worthy much easier to trust in starting lineups.
