Terry McLaurin Duds Again

Terry McLaurin Headshot

Commanders WR Terry McLaurin led the team with eight targets for a 27.6% share in the Week 2 win over the Giants. But that's where the good news ends. McLaurin finished with just 22 scoreless yards on six grabs. Washington had nothing working downfield in the passing game. McLaurin's longest grab went for 12 yards. His other catches: 8, 5, 2, and -2 yards and -3 yards.

2024 Fantasy Football Impact

McLaurin leads Washington with 12 targets on a 22.6% target share through two games. Those are solid numbers.

The problem is that he's averaging just 3.3 yards per target. QB Jayden Daniels has averaged 9.0 yards per attempt throwing to all other Commanders.

This connection evidently needs some work. We'd expect Daniels and McLaurin to eventually figure it out. OC Kliff Kingsbury also needs to get more creative in getting the ball to McLaurin, particularly downfield.

If you can afford to be patient, though, McLaurin could be a nice buy-low right now. His owner is probably dying to give him away.
