Baltimore Ravens Fantasy Football News | Shark Bites

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

Ravens LB Roquan Smith is inactive for tonight's game against the Chargers. That leaves Trenton Simpson as the likely lead LB for Baltimore and Malik Harrison elevated to the No. 2 slot. Harrison has officially started 28 games across 4.5 NFL seasons but never posted enviable numbers. He's only an emergency IDP option.

Ravens LB Roquan Smith left Sunday's loss to the Steelers with a hamstring injury. He was ruled out before the end of the game. That doesn't bode well for his Week 12 outlook, but we'll watch for status updates this week.

Ravens S Kyle Hamilton left Thursday night's game in the first half with a right ankle injury and did not return. The team initially deemed him questionable but ruled Hamilton out before the end of the game. He was wearing a boot on the sideline in the second half, but HC John Harbaugh downplayed the severity after the game.

Second-year LB Trenton Simpson looks like he's ready to take over the starting job vacated by Patrick Queen's free-agent departure.

Ravens S Kyle Hamilton (knee) is inactive for today's game against the Steelers. He officially entered the day questionable, but we're betting this is more of a rest day in a meaningless game than a true injury issue. We've had Hamilton out of the DB rankings all week.

The Ravens have ruled CB Marlon Humphrey (calf) out for Saturday's game against the Steelers. They list S Kyle Hamilton (knee), CB Brandon Stephens (ankle), and CB Ronald Darby (illness) as questionable. We've had Humphrey, Hamilton, and Stephens out of the DB rankings all week. Even if Hamilton and/or Stephens plays, there's little reason for Baltimore to keep either starter on the field for usual full-time duty. Darby remains in there because he's a fill-in level DB. If he's active, he'll be OK to use in deeper IDP leagues.

Ravens S Kyle Hamilton (knee) and CB Brandon Stephens (ankle) went inactive for Sunday's win over the Dolphins. CB Marlon Humphrey left the game with a calf injury. Baltimore clinched the AFC's top playoff seed anyway. Given that, it's hard to imagine the Ravens playing any of those defenders for the Week 18 matchup with Pittsburgh. We'll see whether the team reveals any specific plans for who else will play no or limited snaps. Geno Stone and Marcus Williams played full time at safety vs. Miami. Stone figures to play in Week 18. (He's the third safety.) Williams, however, could be another candidate to sit. He has dealt with multiple injuries throughout the season. Ronald Darby (100%) and Rock Ya-Sin (81%) led CBs in playing time vs. the Dolphins.

Ravens S Kyle Hamilton (knee) and CB Brandon Stephens (ankle) are inactive for today's game against the Dolphins. We've moved S Geno Stone up the DB rankings some. That improves the matchup for Dolphins WR Tyreek Hill, who you were already playing anyway. The spot gets a little better for QB Tua Tagovailoa as well, though he remains a risky option and sits just outside the top 12 in our Week 17 QB rankings.

Ravens S Kyle Hamilton (knee) is active for tonight's game against the Jaguars. Use him as planned in your IDP lineups.

Ravens S Kyle Hamilton suffered a low-grade MCL sprain in Sunday's win over the Rams. HC John Harbaugh told reporters Monday that Hamilton "looks like he'll be day-to-day" and added that "he'll have a chance to play" Sunday against the Jaguars. If Hamilton can't go, S Geno Stone would gain playing time.

Ravens S Kyle Hamilton left Sunday's game against the Rams in the first half with a knee injury and did not return. We'll see about his status heading into a Week 15 trip to Jacksonville.

Update: ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that Hamilton will have an MRI Monday.

Ravens DL Justin Madubuike entered the league concussion protocol after Sunday night's win over the Chargers. Fortunately for his return timeline, Baltimore gets a Week 13 bye. We'll watch Madubuike's status heading into a Week 14 home date with the Rams. Most players have made it back after missing a single game this season.

Ravens CB Marlon Humphrey (hamstring) is active for today's game against the Browns. He'll carry some re-injury risk and isn't a high-level IDP play. But his presence helps the Baltimore D.

Ravens CB Marlon Humphrey is questionable for Sunday's game against the Browns after sustaining a hamstring injury during the practice week. He saw limited work Thursday and Friday. Missing Humphrey would leave Baltimore without its top cover guy. The Ravens will have S Marcus Williams, though. He practiced in full all week and is off the final injury report after missing the past three contests with a hamstring injury.

Ravens S Marcus Williams (hamstring) is inactive for today's game against the Seahawks. That's not great news for Baltimore's secondary, but Williams has missed more games than he has played this year and been less than 100% even on the field at other times. S Geno Stone has played well in Williams' absence.

The Ravens have ruled S Marcus Williams (hamstring) out for Sunday's game against the Cardinals

Ravens LB Roquan Smith sat out Wednesday's practice with a shoulder injury. We didn't see any report of the issue coming out of Sunday's win over the Lions. Smith did play 89% of snaps as opposed to his usual 100%. But so did four other usual full-timers before leaving the blowout victory early. We'll track Smith's status through the week.

The Ravens have ruled S Marcus Williams (hamstring) out for Sunday's game against the Lions. That leaves S Geno Stone to start in his place. Stone has been the better fantasy producer between them on the season. You can now find him in our Week 7 DB rankings.

Ravens S Marcus Williams left Sunday's win over the Titans with a hamstring injury. We'll watch for more on his status ahead of a Week 7 matchup with Detroit.

Ravens S Kyle Hamilton got ejected midway through the third quarter of Sunday's game against the Titans after a helmet-to-helmet hit on Titans WR Chris Moore. The play clearly earned the personal-foul call, but Hamilton's ejection seemed to surprise everyone. We wouldn't bet on it costing him further game time.
