Cedric Tillman Fantasy Football News | Shark Bites

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

One week after scoring exactly zero fantasy points, Cleveland Browns WR Jerry Jeudy finally had a solid fantasy outing--after the vast majority of fantasy managers had benched him. Taking advantage of a new-look Jets' defense that traded off their top run stopper and coverage CB, Jeudy caught 6 balls for a season-high 78 yards and scored his first TD of the season. However, it wasn't enough as the Browns handed the Jets their second win of the season by allowing a pair of special teams TDs in a 27-20 loss.

Browns WR Cedric Tillman (hamstring) is active for today’s game vs. the Jets. He was designated to return from IR at the start of the week and got in three full practices. Tillman should be back in a significant role for Cleveland but isn’t a recommended fantasy start in this struggling passing game.

Browns WR Cedric Tillman (hamstring) is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game vs. the Jets. He was a full participant in practice all week, so we’re expecting him to play. But Tillman would be a shaky Week 10 fantasy start in this struggling Cleveland passing game. WR Isaiah Bond (foot) has been ruled out.

Browns WR Cedric Tillman (hamstring) was a full participant in Wednesday's practice. He's on track to return for this weekend's game vs. the Jets and should step back in as a full-time player. But Tillman will need Cleveland's passing game to be much more productive if he's going to be a reliable fantasy play. We're not counting on it.

Browns WR Cedric Tillman (hamstring) has been designated to return from IR. He'll return to practice this week and is eligible to play vs. the Jets on Sunday if he's ready. Tillman should step back into something close to a full-time role opposite Jerry Jeudy. He totaled 18 targets, 10 catches, 100 yards, and two TDs over the first three games of the season, but that came in a pass-leaning offense under QB Joe Flacco. With QB Dillon Gabriel over their last four games, Cleveland has averaged just:

        • 34.5 pass attempts
        • 153 pass yards
        • 1.0 pass TDs

We wouldn't bother adding Tillman outside of the deepest of fantasy leagues.

Browns WR Cedric Tillman is set to miss weeks, according to HC Kevin Stefanski. Tillman injured his hamstring in the second quarter against the Lions. He was able to return briefly, but that was short-lived. He ultimately went to the locker room for the remainder of the game.

Browns WR Cedric Tillman suffered a hamstring injury in the first half of Sunday's game vs. the Lions and has been ruled out. We'll update his status when we know more, but expect this to be a multi-week injury. Tillman's absence will free up snaps for rookie WR Isaiah Bond, and potentially mean more targets for WR Jerry Jeudy and TEs David Njoku and Harold Fannin.

Browns WR Cedric Tillman was on the field but did not practice today because of a thumb injury, according to Zac Jackson of The Athletic. The severity is unknown. This comes just one day after Joe Flacco was named the starting QB for the Browns.

The Browns have named QB Joe Flacco their starter to open the season. He beat out Kenny Pickett for the job, while rookies Dillon Gabriel and Shedeur Sanders were never serious threats. Flacco’s presence should be a boost for the Browns’ WRs and TEs compared with the alternatives.

Browns TE Harold Fannin was held out of Saturday's preseason game, alongside QB Joe Flacco, WR Jerry Jeudy, TE David Njoku and a bunch of other presumed starters. "All are primed for starting or significant roles," ESPN's Daniel Oyefusi tweeted.

There's a lot of change in the Cleveland offense this year. That's especially true in the backfield and at QB, but the latter could also mean fluidity in the WR corps. We'll be tracking usage and buzz throughout the rest of summer and the preseason games, but Max Loeb of Cleveland podcast Honor the Land offered some interesting practice observations this week.

The Browns watched WR Cedric Tillman leave Friday's practice with a lower-leg injury but expect him to miss no time. HC Kevin Stefanski said Saturday morning that he expects Tillman to be back at practice, according to Scott Petrak of The Chronicle-Telegram, adding that the team "dodged a bullet."

Browns WR Cedric Tillman is “still viewed internally as an ascending player,” per The Athletic’s Zac Jackson. Tillman turned just 25 in April.

The Browns have agreed to a one-year deal with WR Diontae Johnson, according to multiple reports. Since the end of the 2023 season, Johnson has seen the Steelers trade him to Carolina, the Panthers trade him to the Ravens for minimal return, Baltimore waive him, Houston claim him only to release him shortly thereafter ... and then no team sign him until after the draft. Johnson averaged career lows 2.8 receptions and 31.3 yards per game across last year's three stops. He'll turn 29 in July.

The Browns and QB Joe Flacco agreed to a one-year, $4 million deal, his agent tells ESPN's Adam Schefter. Flacco can earn as much as $13 million with incentives. Flacco returns to Cleveland, where he won Comeback Player of the Year in 2023. He averaged 323 yards across five games that year, tossing 13 TDs vs. eight INTs in a pass-heavy attack. Flacco made six starts with seven total appearances for the Colts last season, averaging 7.1 yards per attempt with 12 TDs and seven INTs. He turned 40 in January.
