Jayden Reed Fantasy Football News | Shark Bites

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

Packers WR Jayden Reed (toe, chest) got in a limited practice on Wednesday. It's an upgrade over last week, when he missed all three practices. We're tentatively expecting Reed back for Sunday night's game vs. the Vikings, but we'll keep you updated on his status. WRs Christian Watson (hamstring) and Dontayvion Wicks (chest, ankle) did not practice on Wednesday.

Packers WRs Christian Watson (hamstring) and Jayden Reed (toe, chest) are inactive for today’s game vs. the Panthers. WR Dontayvion Wicks (ankle) is active and should be a near every-down player alongside WR Romeo Doubs. See where the Packers WRs land in the Week 16 Rankings.

The Packers list WR Jayden Reed (toe, chest) as questionable for Sunday's game vs. the Panthers. He didn't practice all week, though, and seems unlikely to play. Reed should be on fantasy benches for now. We'll get Green Bay's inactives around 11:30 am ET on Sunday.

Packers WRs Christian Watson (hamstring) and Jayden Reed (toe, chest) did not practice on Wednesday. Both guys are looking iffy for this weekend's game vs. the Panthers. Their absences would leave Romeo Doubs and Dontayvion Wicks as Green Bay's top two WRs.

Packers WR Jayden Reed is questionable to return for Sunday's game vs. the Bucs with a toe injury. He's remained on the sidelines but doesn't have his helmet. Stay tuned for an update.

Packers WR Christian Watson (hamstring) is listed as doubtful for Week 15. He didn’t practice all week and is clearly a long shot play vs. the Bucs on Sunday. WR Dontayvion Wicks (ankle) is listed as questionable after getting in limited practices on Thursday and Friday. If he’s unable to play this weekend, Green Bay would be down to WRs Malik Heath and Samori Toure behind top two WRs Jayden Reed and Romeo Doubs.

Packers WR Jayden Reed is starting to heat up. The rookie racked up 8 catches on 10 targets for 27 receiving yards in Week 14 vs. the Giants. In addition to his pass-catching, he also recorded 4 carries for 38 yards and a TD as a runner on Monday night. The Packers have been more creative in utilizing Reed on end-around plays and getting the ball in his hands as a rusher of late, as Reed is averaging 20 rushing yards per game over the past five weeks. On top of his 5 catches and 41.4 receiving yards per game in that span, Reed is posting an average of 15.9 PPR points weekly and becoming an underappreciated difference-maker in lineups. He should be a solid flex value again in Week 15 vs. the Buccaneers (fifth-best WR matchup per our adjusted fantasy points allowed) and needs to be on fantasy managers’ radar(s) in both season-long and dynasty formats.

Packers WR Christian Watson (hamstring) is out for Monday night's game vs. the Giants. He didn't practice all week and is likely looking at a multi-game absence. WRs Jayden Reed and Romeo Doubs should get playing-time boosts with Watson out. Dontayvion Wicks figures to serve as Green Bay's No. 3 WR but is really only in play on the Monday DFS slate.

Packers WR Jayden Reed (chest) is active for tonight’s game vs. the Chiefs. He got in just a limited practice on Friday and was listed as questionable. But Reed played through this chest injury on Thanksgiving, racking up 50 total yards and a score. The bigger concern for Reed might be that WR Dontayvion Wicks (knee) is also active. He’s played between 33% and 44% of Green Bay’s offensive snaps in his last four games and could eat into Reed’s playing time a bit, as well as WR Christian Watson and WR Romeo Doubs’ playing time.

Packers WR Jayden Reed (chest) got in just a limited practice on Friday and is listed as questionable for Sunday night’s game vs. the Chiefs. We’d be more worried about Reed if he didn’t go for 50 yards and a score while playing through this injury on Thanksgiving. We’re expecting the rookie to play against Kansas City but will look for further updates on his status for that one. WR Dontayvion Wicks (knee) is listed as questionable for the Chiefs game after a limited week of practices.

Packers WR Dontayvion Wicks (concussion, knee) is inactive for today’s game vs. the Lions. Green Bay’s No. 4 WR has totaled 17 targets (11.6% share) over the last four games. His absence is a slight boost for WRs Christian Watson, Romeo Doubs, and Jayden Reed.

Packers WR Jayden Reed (chest) is not listed on the final Week 12 injury report. He was limited in Tuesday's practice but put in a full workout on Wednesday and will play vs. the Lions on Thanksgiving. Reed has averaged 4.0 catches and 58 yards per game over the last four, although it's come on just 5.0 targets per game. Consider Reed a risk/reward WR4 play in Week 12.

Packers WR Dontayvion Wicks is in the concussion protocol. He's also dealing with a knee injury and was listed as a non-participant on Monday's estimated practice report. The concussion makes Wicks a long shot to be cleared for Thursday's game vs. the Lions. The rookie has played about one-third of Green Bay's offensive snaps over the past four weeks, totaling 17 targets (11.6% share). His absence is a slight boost for WRs Christian Watson, Romeo Doubs, and Jayden Reed.

Packers WR Jayden Reed delivered a big fantasy line in an unconventional way Sunday against the Chargers. He scored from 32 yards out on a carry, one of three he logged before the middle of the second quarter. Reed totaled 46 rushing yards to lead the team in a game that saw RB Aaron Jones leave early with a knee injury. All three of Reed's rushes came before Jones left the game, which could bode well for that aspect staying in his game. He had just two rushes for the season entering Sunday's game. The rookie also tied for the team lead with 6 targets and notched 4 receptions for another 46 yards. This isn't the kind of stat line we can count on Reed repeating, but his usage was encouraging. Reed's 34 routes (among 44 dropbacks) finished basically tied with Christian Watson (36) and Romeo Doubs (33). Watson got 4 targets, tallying 2 receptions for 21 yards and a TD. Doubs posted a 5-53-1 line on 6 targets. It was an optimal matchup for the Green Bay passing offense, especially after losing its lead back. Don't expect as much Green Bay passing success the rest of the way. A Week 12 matchup at Detroit, however, could once again boost passing upside.
