Jayden Reed Fantasy Football News | Shark Bites

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

Packers WR Jayden Reed said on social media Tuesday that he had successful surgeries on his collarbone and foot. We knew he was getting his broken collarbone fixed, but Reed also addressed what's been reported as a Jones fracture in his left foot. It's unclear if that surgery changes Reed's 6-8 week timetable for return. We'll look for further updates on his status. Reed is not a must-hold in fantasy leagues with shallow benches.

Packers WR Jayden Reed broke his collarbone in Thursday night's win over the Commanders, HC Matt LaFleur said. The "hope" is that Reed will be back in 6-8 weeks, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

Packers WR Jayden Reed is officially questionable to return to Thursday night's game vs. the Commanders with a right shoulder injury. Reed made an impressive contested catch in the end zone in the first quarter but landed hard on his right shoulder -- and then had the TD called back by a penalty. He was in significant pain and headed back to the locker room with trainers. We'll update his status when we know more, but he seems unlikely to return to this game.

Update: The team indicated Reed broke his collarbone, which will keep him out for a significant amount of time.

No Packers WR played more than 71% of the snaps in Week 1. Romeo Doubs led the group with 34 of 48 snaps (70.8%), about 5% below last year’s average. First-round rookie Mathew Golden was next at just 47.9%. Despite Jordan Love’s success, the inconsistent usage makes the Packers’ WRs tough to start.

Packers WR Jayden Reed (foot) is active for today’s game vs. the Lions. He’ll be playing through what’s been reported as a Jones fracture in his left foot and would be a high-risk fantasy play. We’ll be keeping a close eye on Reed’s playing time and health in this one. WRs Dontayvion Wicks (calf) and Savion Williams (hamstring) are also active.

Packers WR Jayden Reed (foot) is listed as questionable for this weekend’s game vs. the Lions. He got in limited practices on Thursday and Friday as he attempts to play through what’s been reported as a Jones fracture in his left foot. We’ll need to see Reed looking reasonably healthy in a game before recommending him as a fantasy starter. WRs Dontayvion Wicks (calf) and Savion Williams (hamstring) are also questionable for Week 1. Matthew Golden and Romeo Doubs figure to operate as Green Bay’s clear top two WRs in the opener.

Packers WR Jayden Reed (foot) returned to a limited practice on Thursday. He's attempting to play through what's reportedly a Jones fracture in his left foot. We'll see if Reed gets the green light for Sunday's opener vs the Lions, but he'd be a highly risky fantasy start.

Packers WR Jayden Reed (foot) did not practice on Wednesday. He's reportedly trying to play through a Jones fracture but is uncertain for this weekend's opener vs. the Lions. Even if Reed suits up for that one, he won't be a recommended fantasy start. His absence would leave Matthew Golden and Romeo Doubs as Green Bay's clear top two WRs. WRs Dontayvion Wicks (calf) and Savion Williams (hamstring) were both limited in Wednesday's practice. Malik Heath is the only other WR on the active roster.
