Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.
Ravens RB J.K. Dobbins (knee) will practice "in some degree" this week, HC John Harbaugh said Monday. Dobbins has been sidelined since Week 6 and underwent arthroscopic knee surgery in late October. It doesn't necessarily sound like he'll be ready to play vs. the Broncos on Sunday, but we'll keep an eye on his status throughout the week.
The Ravens placed RB J.K. Dobbins (knee) on IR, knocking him out for at least the next 4 games. He's expected to be sidelined for 4-6 weeks after undergoing arthroscopic surgery on his knee, so landing on IR has no impact to his rest-of-season fantasy value. Dobbins is not a must-stash in shallower fantasy leagues. He probably won't be a starting option until December at the earliest.
Ravens RB J.K. Dobbins will be having arthroscopic surgery on his left knee next week. ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that he'll miss the ensuing 4-6 weeks. That should leave this week's backfield to Kenyan Drake and Justice Hill, who put in full practices all week coming off his hamstring injury. Gus Edwards should be back soon as well and gains upside with Dobbins' status. All 3 Baltimore RBs are worth stashing where possible on fantasy football rosters.
Ravens RB J.K. Dobbins (knee) is out for Sunday's game vs. the Browns. He didn't practice all week, and it's unclear if he'll miss more time beyond Week 7. Dobbins' absence leaves Baltimore with RBs Kenyan Drake, Justice Hill and Mike Davis. Drake is the best bet to lead a committee attack and is in the RB3 mix.
Ravens RB J.K. Dobbins (knee) missed practice again on Thursday. It looks like he's in real danger of missing this weekend's game vs. the Browns, which would leave Baltimore's backfield to RBs Kenyan Drake and Justice Hill.
Ravens RB J.K. Dobbins (knee) did not practice on Wednesday. His surgically repaired knee "tightened up" during last week's loss to the Giants, HC John Harbaugh said. We're not sure if that qualifies as a setback, but Dobbins' availability for this weekend's game vs. the Browns seems up in the air. His absence would leave the backfield to Kenyan Drake and Justice Hill, who put in a full practice on Wednesday with his hamstring injury.
Ravens RB Kenyan Drake took his team-high 10 carries for 119 yards in Sunday's loss to the Giants, highlighted by a 30-yard TD run. Drake garnered some extra work because RB J.K. Dobbins' repaired knee "tightened up," keeping him from playing the 2nd half. We'll see whether that issue affects Dobbins' availability for Week 7.
Ravens RB J.K. Dobbins didn't play in the 2nd half of Sunday's loss to the Giants because his knee "tightened up," HC John Harbaugh said afterward. Harbaugh added the MetLife Stadium turf might have been the culprit. Dobbins has been clearly limited in his 4 games since returning from last year's multi-ligament knee injury. We'll monitor his practice participation this coming week, but he'll be a risky Week 7 fantasy play. Baltimore's bye isn't until Week 10.
Ravens RB Justice Hill (hamstring) is inactive for today’s game vs. the Giants. It’ll be J.K. Dobbins and Kenyan Drake as Baltimore’s top 2 RBs.
Ravens RB Justice Hill (hamstring) is listed as doubtful for Sunday’s game vs. the Giants. It looks like it’ll be J.K. Dobbins and Kenyan Drake in Baltimore’s backfield again this weekend.
Ravens beat writer Jeff Zrebiec believes RB J.K. Dobbins “took another step closer to his pre-injury form” in Week 5. Still on a snap count, Dobbins didn’t light up the box score, rushing 8 times for 44 yards. But he gained approval from HC John Harbaugh. “Nothing we didn’t like,” Harbaugh said regarding Dobbins’ limited late-game usage. “I thought he had his best game. He’s getting better every week. I thought he took a jump last week in practice and this week in the game. The (run) for the first down to the left side was spectacular. He was hit in the backfield and ended up getting the first down, broke about five tackles.” Dobbins will face the Giants in Week 6.
Ravens RB J.K. Dobbins took a step back in Week 5 with 8 carries for 44 yards. He didn’t draw a target in the passing game, despite 32 Lamar Jackson passes and an inactive Rashod Bateman. Plus, even in a close game throughout, he played only 40% of the snaps a week after handling 50% against Buffalo. Of course, we’re still only 3 games into Dobbins’ season following the 2021 ACL tear. We’ll continue to track his workload closely. Next up is a road matchup with the Giants.
Ravens RB Justice Hill (hamstring) is out for Sunday night’s game vs. the Bengals. RBs Mike Davis and Kenyan Drake figure to be active for that one, but neither is on the fantasy radar. RB J.K. Dobbins’ role should continue growing after his snap and carry shares climbed from Week 3 to Week 4.
Ravens HC John Harbaugh said RB Justice Hill's hamstring injury is not long-term but that he will miss time. We'll keep an eye on Hill this week, but expect him to miss Sunday night's game vs. the Bengals. That could push Baltimore to give RB J.K. Dobbins a bigger piece of the backfield pie
