Kyler Murray Fantasy Football News | Shark Bites

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

Cardinals QB Kyler Murray (foot) is inactive for Sunday’s game vs. the Packers. ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported Saturday night that Murray is expected back after the team’s Week 8 bye. QB Jacoby Brissett makes his second straight start today after posting a 320-2-1 passing line vs. the Colts last week. The matchup is much tougher this week, so Brissett is just a low-end QB2. But he keeps TE Trey McBride and WR Marvin Harrison Jr. fantasy viable.

The Cardinals are "planning to start" QB Jacoby Brissett vs. the Packers tomorrow, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. That's the vibe we've gotten all week, with Murray remaining limited in practice. Brissett played well against a banged-up Colts secondary last week, throwing for 320 yards and two TDs. But he faces a much tougher test this weekend vs. the Packers. Brissett is just a low-end QB2 in fantasy lineups, although he doesn't project as a huge downgrade from Murray for WR Marvin Harrison Jr. and TE Trey McBride

Cardinals QB Kyler Murray (foot) is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game vs. the Packers. He was limited in practice all week. We’re tentatively expecting QB Jacoby Brissett to get another start this weekend but will keep you updated on the situation. A less-than-100% Murray would be a shaky fantasy play if he starts vs. a tough Green Bay defense.

Cardinals QB Kyler Murray (foot) got in a limited practice on Wednesday. It's an upgrade over last week, when he only practiced on Friday. HC Jonathan Gannon would only say Wednesday that Murray is "coming along" with his sprained foot. We'll keep you updated on his progress over the next few days, but a less-than-100% Murray would be a shaky fantasy play vs. the Packers on Sunday.

Cardinals QB Kyler Murray (foot) is inactive for today’s game against the Colts. NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport said Saturday night that Murray could miss more than just this game with a mid-foot sprain. We’ll track his status this coming week. QB Jacoby Brissett gets the start today. He’s a downgrade for the offense, but TE Trey McBride remains a must-start, while WR Marvin Harrison Jr. remains a fine lower-end fantasy play.

A final decision on QB Kyler Murray (foot) will come on Sunday, but the Cardinals are "preparing" for QB Jacoby Brissett to start vs. the Colts, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Murray is dealing with a mid-foot sprain that kept him to just a limited practice on Friday this week. "There is a possibility Murray is out more than this week, as pushing it can cause an aggravation," Rapoport adds.

Cardinals QB Kyler Murray (foot) is listed as questionable for this weekend’s game against the Colts. He only got in a limited practice on Friday. HC Jonathan Gannon said Friday morning that the team needs to see how Murray progresses over the next couple of days before determining his availability for this one. His rushing ability figures to be impacted if he does suit up, which would leave Murray as a shaky Week 6 fantasy play. QB Jacoby Brissett would draw the start if Murray can’t go. It’d be a significant downgrade for WR Marvin Harrison Jr. and TE Trey McBride.

Cardinals QB Kyler Murray (foot) missed his second straight practice on Thursday. He played through this injury last week but seems to be in real danger of missing Sunday's game vs. the Colts. We'll see if Murray practices on Friday and then how he's listed on the final injury report. If Murray can't go, Arizona would turn to QB Jacoby Brissett. He started the first five games of last season for the Patriots, completing just 58.5% of his passes at 5.2 yards per attempt. Brissett would be a tangible downgrade for WR Marvin Harrison Jr. and TE Trey McBride.

Cardinals QB Kyler Murray (foot) did not practice on Wednesday. He briefly exited last week's game with this injury but quickly returned and was able to finish. We're tentatively expecting him to play against the Colts this weekend but will keep a close eye on his status over the next few days. Even if Murray plays, it's possible his mobility is limited by this foot issue.

Cardinals QB Kyler Murray suffered a foot injury in the third quarter of Sunday's game vs. the Titans. He headed back to the locker room and is officially questionable to return. We'll update Murray's status when we know more. QB Jacoby Brissett replaced Murray.

Update: Murray returned after missing just a few plays.

The Cardinals are adding QB Kyler Murray to the injury report for today's game against the Saints because of an illness. Multiple reports say, however, that he'll carry no game-status tag and that he'll play. That Arizona's not even listing him as questionable suggests you should go ahead and play Murray as planned in your fantasy lineups. If you're flipping a coin between him and Bo Nix -- slightly behind Murray in our default QB rankings -- it would be OK to lean toward the healthy Nix.
