Marquise Brown Fantasy Football News | Shark Bites

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

Ravens WR Marquise Brown (ankle) is listed as questionable for Sunday night's game vs. the Chiefs. He only got in a limited practice on Friday, so he figures to be operating at far less than 100% if he suits up this weekend. We'd avoid Brown in fantasy lineups. WR Devin Duvernay (groin) is also questionable. Sammy Watkins is the best bet among Baltimore WRs.

Ravens WR Marquise Brown missed his 2nd straight practice on Thursday with an ankle injury. He battled a hamstring most of August but evidently picked up this ankle issue in the opener. We'll see if he's able to practice tomorrow and then how he's listed on the final injury report.

Ravens WR Marquise Brown is not listed on the Week 1 injury report. He missed almost all of August with hamstring trouble but is ready to go for Week 1. With WR Rashod Bateman on IR to open the season, Brown should be Baltimore's clear #1 WR vs. the Raiders on Monday night.

Ravens WR Marquise Brown (hamstring) is practicing on Monday. It marks the first time he’s practiced since July 28. Odds are he’ll be ready for Week 1, but we’ll see if we catch word of a potential snap restriction. Baltimore opens up against the Raiders.

Ravens WR Marquise Brown (hamstring) remained sidelined for Monday's practice. He's now been out for 18 days with this hamstring injury. We're still almost 4 weeks out from the season opener, so Brown has time. But he's a risky fantasy pick until we see him back on the field.

Ravens WR Rashod Bateman had successful core-muscle surgery in Philadelphia on Friday, according to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero. HC John Harbaugh reportedly still hopes to get the rookie back “sometime in September.” Bateman’s absence to open the season helps the outlook for both Marquise Brown and Sammy Watkins.

Ravens WR Marquise Brown (hamstring) missed his 7th straight training-camp practice on Saturday. He was at least spotted doing some conditioning work off to the side. "You don't want to come back and re-injure it, as we've seen before," HC John Harbaugh said. We're still over a month away from the start of the season, but it'd be nice to see Brown string a few healthy weeks together before Week 1.

Ravens WR Marquise Brown is sidelined with a hamstring injury. HC John Harbaugh said it's "a little more serious" than he was told initially. We'll see exactly how serious and how long Brown is out. Rookie WR Rashod Bateman also missed Monday's practice with what Harbaugh called "muscle tightness." Sammy Watkins has been Baltimore's best WR in camp so far according to multiple sources.

Ravens WR Marquise Brown left practice early Thursday, with the training staff assessing a leg injury. HC John Harbaugh told reporters afterward, though, that the team was just being cautious. "Not serious. Probably more precautionary than anything," Harbaugh said. "Just making sure the muscle health continues to be there early in camp and just build him up to the reps we want to get him to." We'll watch for Brown's return, but don't adjust your outlook for him at this point.

According to Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic, Ravens WR Rashod Bateman has given the Ravens, “every reason to believe he’ll be a significant contributor from Day 1.” Zrebiec adds that Bateman “hasn’t looked like a rookie.” It's tough to expect consistent fantasy contributions given a run-heavy offense and the presence of Mark Andrews, Marquise Brown and Sammy Watkins. But there’s a real chance that Bateman’s role grows as the season rolls along. He's heavily discounted with a WR62 price in FFPC best ball drafts.

The forecast for today's Ravens-Bills game calls for 15-20 mph winds with gusts of 30+. QBs Lamar Jackson and Josh Allen both do a lot of their fantasy damage on the ground, so neither guy is significantly hurt by the weather. We would slightly downgrade WRs John Brown and Marquise Brown with deep passes likely to be impacted.

Ravens TE Mark Andrews (foot), WR Marquise Brown (hip) and RB Mark Ingram (shoulder) -- all listed as questionable -- are expected to play against the Cardinals today, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. We never heard much concern about any of these guys, so we'd use them in fantasy lineups as you normally would.
