Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.
Colts TE Tyler Warren took a step back in Week 3, snagging only 3 of 5 targets for 38 yards against Tennessee. QB Daniel Jones needed to attempt only 25 passes in the blowout win.
The Colts expect TE Tyler Warren (toe) to be "full-go" vs. the Titans today, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero. Warren's limited practice reps this week were precautionary, Pelissero adds. The rookie has quickly emerged as a top-5 fantasy option at his position.
Colts TE Tyler Warren (toe) has been removed from the Week 3 injury report. He had been listed as questionable after getting in two limited practices this week. He's in no danger of missing Sunday's game vs. the Titans, though. And getting removed from the injury report now should have fantasy owners feeling much better about keeping him in Week 3 lineups.
Colts TE Tyler Warren (toe) is listed as questionable for this weekend’s game vs. the Titans. He got in limited practices on Thursday and Friday. We didn’t see Warren get banged up in the Week 2 win over Denver and haven’t heard anything about his status since. We’ll look for further updates and get Indianapolis’ inactives around 11:30 am ET on Sunday.
Colts TE Tyler Warren (toe) returned to a limited practice on Thursday. We still don't have any details on this toe issue, but getting on the field today should put him on track to play vs. the Titans this weekend. We'll get another update on Warren on Friday.
Colts TE Tyler Warren (toe) did not practice on Wednesday. He seemed to make it out of the Week 2 win over the Broncos ok, but his status will now need to be closely monitored over the next few days. We'll have another update on Warren on Thursday afternoon.
Colts TE Tyler Warren racked up a team-high 9 targets and 7 catches in Sunday's blowout win over the Dolphins. He added 76 yards, second on the team behind WR Michael Pittman. Three of Warren's catches surfaced on the first drive.
The Colts will start QB Daniel Jones in their season opener against the Dolphins, according to both ESPN and NFL Network. Jones and Richardson seemingly played to a draw this summer, which makes it a bit surprising that Indianapolis isn't giving Richardson the Week 1 nod. We ultimately still expect both guys to start multiple games this season.
Update: “He's the starting QB for the season,” HC Shane Steichen said of Jones on Tuesday. “I don’t want to have a short leash on that.” We still don't think Jones will play well enough to keep Richardson off the field all season, but expect Jones to be under center for a while.
Colts’ WR Josh Downs left Thursday’s practice early with an apparent hamstring injury, according to James Boyd of The Athletic.
According to Stephen Holder of ESPN, QB Anthony Richardson is set to start Week 1 of the preseason, with Daniel Jones set to debut in Week 2.
Colts QB Anthony Richardson has generated more buzz than QB Daniel Jones in training camp so far. But The Athletic's Zak Keefer believes the race is "neck and neck" right now. Richardson has shown improvement on short and intermediate passes, but snap-to-snap consistency has remained an issue.
Colts QB Anthony Richardson is believed to be recovered from the right shoulder issue he dealt with last month, according to ESPN's Stephen Holder. Richardson missed two weeks of June minicamp with an aggravation of the AC joint injury that ended his 2023 season. The rest has seemingly alleviated the issue, though. Richardson has been "throwing the ball with velocity" for weeks, per Holder, although it's still possible that he'll be on a pitch count early in camp.
Colts TE Tyler Warren reportedly impressed in his first set of team workouts, immediately taking on a significant offensive role.
Colts QB Anthony Richardson is dealing with a right shoulder injury and won't participate in next week's minicamp, HC Shane Steichen said Thursday. Steichen called it an aggravation of the AC joint injury that ended Richardson's 2023 season. He had surgery then but is not expected to need surgery this time, according to Steichen.
The Colts selected Penn State TE Tyler Warren with the No. 14 pick of the 2025 NFL Draft. Warren is coming off a historically productive 2024 season. His 104 catches and 1,233 receiving yards were the fourth biggest tallies by a TE in NCAA history. Warren dominated the Penn State passing game, drawing a 31.6% target share and accounting for 38.5% of the team’s receiving yards. Warren ranked second among 86 qualifying TEs in Pro Football Focus receiving grade and third in yards per route. AND he ran it 26 times for 281 yards and four TDs. Warren lined up all over the formation last year: 45% in-line, 32% slot, 12% backfield, and 10% out wide. He’s at his best with the ball in his hands, averaging 6.9 yards after the catch per reception over the last two seasons. Warren is also comfortable making plays in traffic and has strong hands, dropping just 2.8% of his catchable targets last year. The knocks against him? The big 2024 came in his fifth college season. Warren totaled just 15 catches over his first three years at Penn State and then split time with very similar production as Theo Johnson in 2023. Warren hasn’t been much of a downfield threat, either. He had a career 7.5-yard average target depth, and only 6% of his targets came 20+ yards downfield over the last two seasons. Still, he projects as a unique weapon as a pro with perennial top-five fantasy upside.
Broncos beat writer Nick Kosmider believes TE is the team’s biggest offseason need. In 2024, Denver TEs combined for a league-low 350 yards. Former Saint Adam Trautman led the group with 188 yards in 17 games. Trautman is under contract for 2025, as is TE Nate Adkins. TE Lucas Krull is an exclusive rights free agent, per Spotrac.
