Jets WR Garrett Wilson caught five of nine targets for 33 yards and a score in Thursday night's win over the Patriots. It was a frustrating night for Wilson outside of that TD, which came from two yards out on a well-thrown ball from QB Aaron Rodgers. There were multiple missed connections where Rodgers and Wilson just didn't appear to quite be on the same page. There was also a back-shoulder throw that would have gone for about 20 yards, but Wilson's second foot tapped just out of bounds. On the night, Rodgers completed 56% of his passes at 3.7 yards per attempt to Wilson vs. 85% at 9.5 yards per attempt to everyone else.

Rodgers and Wilson clearly have some work to do. Rodgers is trying some of those timing and ball-location throws that he perfected with WR Davante Adams -- but they're not connecting with Wilson. Yet. These guys are too talented to not get rolling soon.
Rodgers also noted after the game that all three of their opponents so far have shaded coverage Wilson's way. That figures to continue to often be the case. But the Jets' running game is clicking, WR Mike Williams is rounding into form, and WR Allen Lazard is even playing well. That should open up some space for Wilson going forward.
He's an excellent buy-low target right now. Volume has not been an issue. Wilson is averaging 8.7 targets per game on a 27.7% target share.
