Chiefs WR Rashee Rice has been a full participant by all accounts in OTAs. His 2024 season ended in September with LCL and hamstring injuries. But HC Andy Reid said back in April that Rice would be ready for training camp. He's seemingly ahead of that schedule.
What They're Saying
QB Patrick Mahomes on Rice: "He looks like Rashee. Obviously, having the injury sucked. But it happening so early in the season, he was back around when the offseason started. … There's no limitations. He's out there playing."
OC Matt Nagy: "He's looked good. . . It reminds me of where he was last year."
2025 Fantasy Football Impact
It's looking more and more like last year's knee injury will not be a factor in 2025. There's still the issue of Rice's involvement in a street-racing crash in March 2024. But there's been little legal movement on the situation, and FootballGuys' Drew Davenport said in April that he believes there's a good chance Rice is not suspended during the 2025 season.
If Rice is healthy and eligible to play come Week 1, he could deliver nice value from his current WR15 Underdog ADP. Rice ranked second among WRs in PPR points through Week 3 last year — after a strong close to his 2023 rookie season.
