Broncos QB Bo Nix endured a predictably tough passing day in Sunday's matchup with (arguably) the league's best defense in Houston. He completed just 18 of 37 passes for 173 yards. Nix did connect for a pair of TD passes, though, including one early in the fourth quarter. Nix also racked up 34 of his 36 rushing yards on the team's final drive, setting up the game-winning FG.
2025 Fantasy Football Impact
We expected Nix to struggle in a much more difficult matchup than he faced in racking up big fantasy scores the previous two weeks.
Nix posted his lowest passer rating since the opener and worst completion rate of the year.
The QB's reluctance to run until the final 2 minutes of the game -- all three of his carries came in that time frame -- was a bit worrisome. But he logged five carries in two of the previous three games.
So we can't necessarily count on rushing from Nix every week, but there's no negative trend to get concerned about.
Nix gets a better matchup with the Raiders in Week 10, and then a decent spot against the Chiefs in Week 11 (ahead of the team's bye).
Expect him to settle around the QB1 fringe in our rankings the next two weeks.
