Texans RB Woody Marks delivered a decent fantasy outing in Thursday night's win over the Bills. The rookie carried 16 times for 74 yards -- good for 4.6 yards per carry. He broke off a 19-yarder on a pitch off right tackle in the first quarter. Marks couldn't beat S Jordan Poyer to get into the end zone, though, and Houston wound up settling for a FG. Marks ran with good balance and power throughout the night, picking multiple key third and fourth downs. But he failed to get into the end zone and lost five yards on his only catch.
2025 Fantasy Football Impact
The good news is that Marks continues to control backfield work. He played 73% of the snaps vs. Buffalo and handled 16 of 22 RB carries. Marks has racked up 48 carries on a 68% share over the last three weeks.
He's struggling near the goal line, though. Marks has five carries inside the five-yard line over the last three weeks but has scored on just one of them. He went 0-for-2 against Buffalo.
He's also seeing surprisingly scant usage in the passing game. Marks has drawn just one target in back-to-back games and has only four catches on five targets over his last three.
We'd expect Marks to start scoring on more of his goal-line carries, assuming he continues to get them ahead of RB Nick Chubb. And more targets should come considering he's run a route on 46% of pass plays over the last three.
Although the production hasn't great, Marks is getting high-end RB2-level usage. His remaining schedule features four neutral matchups and a tough draw against the Chiefs in Week 14.
Marks remains a comfortable fantasy starter and could be a buy-low if you can get him for a RB3 price tag.
