Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.
Packers RB A.J. Dillon missed his second straight practice on Thursday and told the media that he has a broken thumb. OC Adam Stenavich said that the team is still figuring out whether Dillon can play vs. the Bucs this weekend. "It makes it harder to catch the ball and things like that, but if you limit the things he does, it can be done," Stenavich said. We'll keep an eye on Dillon's status, as well as Aaron Jones (knee), who remained limited in Thursday's practice. The Packers also have RB Patrick Taylor on the active roster and RB Kenyan Drake on the practice squad.
Packers RB Aaron Jones (knee) was limited in Wednesday's practice, while RB A.J. Dillon (thumb) was sidelined. We're tentatively projecting both guys to play vs. the Bucs this weekend, but we'll keep you updated on their statuses over the next few days.
Packers RB Aaron Jones (knee) is inactive for tonight’s game vs. the Giants. RB A.J. Dillon has totaled 32 carries sans Jones the past two weeks and should be busy in this one with the Packers 5.5-point favorites. The Giants are allowing 4.6 yards per carry to opposing RBs.
Packers RB Aaron Jones (knee) is not expected to play vs. the Giants tonight, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero. Jones got in three limited practices this week, but the Packers are notoriously cautious bringing players back from injuries. We're tentatively expecting Jones to return for Week 15 but will track his status this week. His absence tonight leaves A.J. Dillon as Green Bay's lead back again. Dillon has handled 32 of 47 Packers carries (68%) over the past two weeks with Jones out. He's lost passing-down snaps to RB Patrick Taylor, but that's less of a concern tonight with the Packers six-point favorites.
Packers RB Aaron Jones (knee) was limited in practice all week and is listed as questionable for Monday night's game vs. the Giants. The late kickoff puts fantasy owners hoping to use Jones or RB A.J. Dillon in a tough spot. We'll look for an update on Jones' status on Sunday morning. For now, we're projecting Jones IN for Week 14.
Packers RB Aaron Jones (knee) put in a limited practice on Thursday. That seemingly gives him a shot to return for Monday night's game vs. the Giants. We'll track Jones' status over the next few days.
Packers RB Aaron Jones (knee) is out for Sunday night's game vs. the Chiefs. He remained sidelined in practice all week. RB A.J. Dillon will again operate as Green Bay's primary ball carrier this weekend, but he'll also likely cede most passing-down work to RB Patrick Taylor. That's a concern with the Packers 6-point underdogs.
Packers RB Aaron Jones (knee) did not practice on Wednesday. That's not a good start for his chances of returning for Sunday night's game vs. the Chiefs. Jones should stay parked on fantasy benches for now.
Packers RB Aaron Jones (knee) is out for Thursday's game vs. the Lions. RB A.J. Dillon (groin) is listed as questionable after a limited week of practice. Dillon should be ready to serve as Green Bay's lead ball carrier on Thanksgiving, but you'll need to check back around 11 am ET tomorrow to make sure he's active.
Packers RB Aaron Jones is considered "week-to-week" with an MCL sprain, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports. Schefters adds that Jones is "unlikely" to play vs. the Lions on Thanksgiving. We'd consider him no better than 50/50 to be ready for Week 13. RB A.J. Dillon will take over as Green Bay's lead ball-carrier in Jones' absence. But Dillon lost passing-down work to RB Patrick Taylor when Jones was sidelined earlier this season.
Packers HC Matt LaFleur said after Sunday's win over the Chargers that RB Aaron Jones' knee injury is not believed to be a long-term deal. Jones will likely get additional testing done on the knee on Monday, and we should get another update on his status then. For now, consider him unlikely to play vs. the Lions on Thanksgiving.
Packers RB Aaron Jones suffered a knee injury in the second quarter of Sunday's game vs. the Chargers. He was in obvious pain on the field and needed help getting out. We'll update his status when we know more, but don't expect Jones to return today. That'll leave A.J. Dillon as Green Bay's lead back.
Update: Jones has been ruled out.
Packers RB Aaron Jones received 13 carries for 35 rushing yards with 4 catches for 19 receiving yards in Week 10 vs. the Steelers. This isn’t the type of performance you’d like to see from him in a plus matchup, though the story isn’t as bad as it seems on the surface. Jones’ 55.8% snap rate on Sunday is about on par with his season-high 56.9% mark set last week, and he still accounted for 61.2% of the Packers' RB touch opportunities in the contest. Fantasy managers would be wise to stick with Jones in Week 11 vs. the Chargers (11th-best RB matchup in adjusted fantasy points allowed).
Packers RB Aaron Jones enjoyed a breakout game in Week 9. The veteran back tallied 99 total yards on 24 touches -- his highest mark since Week 10 of last season. He added his first TD since Week 1 on a power run up the middle. Jones will be challenged this week at Pittsburgh. Going forward, though, his schedule looks neutral in terms of fantasy points allowed.
Packers HC Matt LaFleur said Friday that RB Aaron Jones (hamstring) is ready for an expanded role. “Ready to cut him loose," LaFleur said. Jones has totaled 15 carries and 10 targets over the past two weeks, easing back in after hurting his hamstring. It sounds like we can expect him back in something close to his usual role in Sunday's game vs. the Rams. We're moving Jones up the Week 9 RB Rankings.
After trailing teammate AJ Dillon in Week 7 usage while working back from his hamstring injury, Packers RB Aaron Jones climbed to basically even in Sunday's loss to the Vikings. His 7 carries led the team, producing 29 yards (4.1 per rush). Jones also tied Dillon at 5 targets. He caught four for 17 yards. Dillon caught all five of his to lead the team in receptions and posted 41 yards. Given the lackluster performance of Dillon overall, Jones should see further increases in his work. Non-scary matchups with the Rams, Steelers, and Chargers await over the next three weeks.
Packers RB Aaron Jones (hamstring) is not listed on the final Week 8 injury report. He only got in limited practices on Thursday and Friday, though. "We're still gonna be smart with him. I don’t think he’s 100% by any stretch." HC Matt LaFleur said Friday. Jones tallied eight carries and five targets on a 36% snap rate in his return last week. We’re projecting a similar workload vs. the Vikings on Sunday.
