Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.
Jets WR Corey Davis (hip) is listed as doubtful for Thursday night's game vs. the Colts. His absence will again leave Jamison Crowder, Denzel Mims, Keelan Cole and Elijah Moore as New York's top 4 WRs.
Jets WR Corey Davis (hip) did not practice on Tuesday. He's looking unlikely to play vs. the Colts on Thursday night, but we'll get another update on his status tomorrow.
Jets WR Corey Davis (hip) is inactive for today’s game vs. the Bengals. He hurt his hip in Thursday’s practice, and his status going forward is uncertain. HC Robert Saleh suggested Friday that WR Denzel Mims will step into Davis' role -- but he can't be trusted in fantasy lineups with QB Mike White under center.
Jets WR Corey Davis (hip) is listed as doubtful for this weekend's game vs. the Bengals. He hurt his hip on Thursday and then didn’t practice on Friday. HC Robert Saleh suggested Friday that WR Denzel Mims will step into Davis' role -- but he can't be trusted in fantasy lineups with QB Mike White under center.
Jets WR Corey Davis suffered a hip injury in Thursday's practice. HC Robert Saleh admitted Friday morning that it's "not looking good" for Davis to play vs. the Bengals this weekend. Saleh suggested that WR Denzel Mims will step into Davis' role -- but he can't be trusted in fantasy lineups with QB Mike White under center.
Jets WR Elijah Moore (concussion) has been ruled out for Sunday's game vs. the Titans. We'll see if he can make it back for Week 5. WR Corey Davis should dominate targets this weekend.
Jets WR Keelan Cole (knee) is inactive for today’s game against the Panthers. WR Jamison Crowder (COVID) is also out, leaving Corey Davis and Elijah Moore as the Jets’ clear top 2 WRs.
Jets WR Keelan Cole (knee) is listed as questionable for this weekend's game vs. the Panthers. He didn’t practice on Friday after being added to the injury report on Thursday, so he looks like a poor bet to play. With Jamison Crowder (COVID) already ruled out, Corey Davis and Elijah Moore should serve as the Jets’ clear top 2 WRs in the opener.
Jets WR Jamison Crowder (COVID) is out for Sunday's game vs. the Panthers, HC Robert Saleh said. We'll see if WR Keelan Cole (knee) is able to play. Corey Davis and Elijah Moore should operate as the Jets' top 2 WRs in this one.
Jets QB Zach Wilson enjoyed a nice outing in Saturday's 2nd preseason contest at Green Bay. He completed 9 of 11 passes for 128 yards and a pair of TDs, finding TE Tyler Kroft for scores both early in the 2nd quarter and inside the final 2 minutes of the 1st half. Those were Kroft's only 2 targets of the game. WR Corey Davis claimed 6 targets among Wilson's other 10 attempts (including 1 negated by penalty). RB Tevin Coleman, WR Jamison Crowder, WR Jeff Smith and TE Trevon Wesco garnered 1 target apiece.
Jets WR Denzel Mims was working with the 3rd-team offense in Friday's practice, according to multiple reports. So in case you were still wondering whether the spring reports that he wasn't in line to start this season were true, here you go. As of now, it looks like Corey Davis and Keelan Cole will be the Jets' outside receivers, with Jamison Crowder and rookie Elijah Moore battling for the slot job. Mims isn't rosterable in redraft leagues.
Jets WR Corey Davis (shoulder) is ready for the start of training camp on Wednesday, according to The Athletic's Connor Hughes. Davis hurt his shoulder at a May OTA session and didn't do much in minicamp. But it looks like a non-issue now. Davis is coming off a strong 2020 season and got paid like a #1 WR by the Jets in free agency. He's a value at his WR54 ADP.
The forecast for tonight's Titans-Packers game calls for temperatures in the low 30s with snow and winds of 10-15 mph with gusts of 25-30 mph. Those are less-than-ideal conditions for the passing games, but we're still expecting plenty of points in this one. The game still has a big 53.5-point over/under. We'd stick with all the regulars from these teams in fantasy lineups.
The forecast for today's Titans-Bengals game calls for winds of 20-30 mph. That's just past the threshold of when we start to worry about the passing and kicking games. We're lowering our projections for both passing games a tad and would avoid both kickers in this game. Note that the Bengals will be without all 5 of their starting offensive linemen from Week 1 today. Their implied total has sunk from 25.75 to 21.5.
The Titans used the #5 overall pick on WR Corey Davis. He was a stat-compiling machine at Western Michigan, leaving as the NCAA’s record holder for career receiving yards (5,278). After posting a 67-941-6 line as a true freshman, he topped 1,400 yards and 12 TDs in each of his final 3 seasons. He certainly squared off against some weaker competition in the MAC but also averaged 5.8 catches, 77.9 yards and .6 TDs in 9 games against “Power 5” conferences (ACC, SEC, Big 10, Big 12, Pac 12). An ankle injury prevented Davis from working out in the pre-draft process, but he looks plenty athletic on film. He’s also 1 of the most advanced route runners in the class. Davis has a shot to quickly become Tennessee’s #1 WR, bumping Rishard Matthews to the #2 spot. QB Marcus Mariota’s stock is on the rise.
