Dallas Cowboys Fantasy Football News | Shark Bites

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

Cowboys LB Eric Kendricks is inactive for tonight's game against the Buccaneers because of a calf injury. That leaves Dallas missing its top two LBs, with DeMarvion Overshown on IR. Nick Vigil figures to join rookie Marist Liufau in the starting lineup. Dallas will have Edge Micah Parsons, who was questionable with an illness. Use him as planned in IDP lineups.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports that Cowboys Edge Micah Parsons is "likely to play" against the Buccaneers tonight. Parsons is officially questionable with a stomach bug but should be ready for IDP lineups.

Cowboys LB Eric Kendricks is questionable for Sunday's game against the Buccaneers with a calf issue. He missed practice Wednesday and Thursday before returning to a limited Friday workout.

Cowboys Edge Micah Parsons missed Friday's practice with an illness and is officially questionable for Sunday night's game against the Buccaneers. But The Athletic's Jon Machota reports that Parsons is expected to play.

Cowboys LB DeMarvion Overshown tore the ACL, MCL, and PCL in his right knee in Monday night's loss to the Bengals, according to ESPN's Todd Archer.

Cowboys LB DeMarvion Overshown left early in the fourth quarter of Monday night's game against the Bengals with a right knee injury. He was engaged in a block when a Cincinnati O-lineman crashed into the outside of the knee. Overshown needed a lot of help to get off the field and was putting little weight on the right leg. Dallas immediately ruled him out for the game.

Cowboys LB Eric Kendricks and CB Trevon Diggs have each been listed as missing practice Monday and Tuesday, ahead of the Thanksgiving Day game against the Giants. Nick Harris of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram says it's "gonna be close" for each guy making it back to play in that game.

Cowboys LB DeMarvion Overshown left Sunday's loss to the Eagles with a right knee injury. NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports that it's merely bursitis and not believed to be serious.

Cowboys LB DeMarvion Overshown left Sunday's loss to the Eagles with a right knee injury. NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports that it's merely bursitis and not believed to be serious.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that a source tells him Cowboys Edge Micah Parsons "should be back" for this Sunday's game against the the Eagles. Parsons hasn't played -- or practiced -- since suffering a high ankle sprain in the Week 4 win over the Giants.

Cowboys LB Eric Kendricks (shoulder) and CB Trevon Diggs (calf) are active for today's game against the Falcons. Diggs remains a risk to see less playing time than usual, dealing with a calf tear that kept him out of practice all week. Kendricks played through his issue for a full snap share last week.

The Cowboys have ruled Edge Micah Parsons out for Sunday's game against the Falcons. That'll be the fourth straight game he has missed with the high ankle sprain. Parsons has yet to practice since that Week 4 injury. Dallas will also continue to be without CB DaRon Bland. LB Eric Kendricks is also questionable, but he played through that tag last week. I'd bet on him playing Sunday.

The Cowboys have ruled Edge Micah Parsons out for Sunday's game against the 49ers. It'll be his third straight missed game (surrounding a Week 7 bye) since suffering a high-ankle sprain against the Giants. We'll see whether he can make it back for the Week 9 visit to Atlanta. In the meantime, Dallas will have to once again start Carl Lawson and Chauncey Golston on the edges.

The Cowboys have ruled LB Eric Kendricks out for Sunday's game against the Lions because of a shoulder injury. Backup Nick Vigil is also questionable with a foot injury. That leaves DeMarvion Overshown as the only LB starting option for most IDP leagues. And it's another hit to a defense already missing its top two edge players.

The Cowboys suffered a pair of significant injuries on defense in Thursday night's win over the Giants. Edge Micah Parsons sustained a left high ankle sprain. Edge Demarcus Lawrence suffered a right mid-foot sprain. ESPN's Todd Archer reports that both players could miss "multiple weeks." Dallas has two more games before a Week 7 bye.

The Cowboys on Sunday lost DE Sam Williams to ACL and MCL tears in his left knee. The third-year, former second-round pick appeared headed for the No. 3 edge role.

Cowboys Edge Micah Parsons is active for tonight's game against the Eagles. Dallas added him to the injury report Sunday morning as questionable with an illness. But all reports have indicated that the team doesn't expect the illness to alter his playing time.

The Cowboys have added Edge Micah Parsons to the injury report. He's questionable with an illness for tonight's game against the Eagles. NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports that Parsons is still expected to play. So he should probably remain in most IDP lineups that have him set to start. We'll check his status ahead of the game, though.

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said Tuesday that LB Leighton Vander Esch will miss the rest of the season with the neck injury that landed him on IR. Jones declined to say whether it might end the LB's career. Vander Esch has dealt with neck issues since college and sustained multiple injuries during his Dallas run. We'd bet that he's seriously considering whether to shut it down, at 27 and after six years in the league. We'll watch for further updates on that. For this year's Cowboys, the news means Damone Clark should lead the LB playing time the rest of the way. S/LB Markquese Bell has been running as the second LB since LVE went down. Bell's playing time appeared to decline sharply in Sunday's win over the Giants, though. We'll have to see this week how much of that came from the odd game script of the completely one-sided victory. For now, Bell is best left out of most IDP lineups. Clark looks like a weekly LB3 with upside into LB2 territory.

The Cowboys will be placing LB Leighton Vander Esch on IR for the neck injury that knocked him out in Week 5. He's expected to miss the next 4-6 weeks. We'll see Monday night just how Dallas plans to fill in for LVE. Damone Clark is an obvious candidate for more playing time. Micah Parsons has also been mentioned as a potential part of the plan, which would mean more snaps in a standup position off the D-line. S Markquese Bell also figures to see added playing time.
