Daniel Jones Fantasy Football News | Shark Bites

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

Giants QB Daniel Jones threw for 177 yards and 2 TDs in Sunday's 38-10 beatdown of the Colts. He added 91 yards and 2 more scores on the ground. Jones hit WR Richie James and WR Isaiah Hodgins for TDs. James caught all 7 of his team-high 7 targets for a team-leading 76 yards. Hodgins ranked 2nd on the team in targets (5) and receptions (4), totaling 42 yards. TE Daniel Bellinger (3-42) was the only other Giant to catch more than 2 passes. This was Jones' 1st game all season with more than 2 total TDs. The Giants clinched a playoff spot with the victory. We'll see what they have to play for in a Week 18 visit to the Eagles.

Giants QB Daniel Jones threw for 334 yards and a TD (plus an INT) in Saturday's loss to the Vikings. It marked just the 2nd time all year that Jones reached 300 yards, in just his 2nd game with 40+ passing attempts. Jones added 34 yards rushing on just 4 attempts. His lone TD throw went to WR Isaiah Hodgins, 1 of 3 Giants with 8 receptions.

Giants QB Daniel Jones served as a game manager on Sunday night, completing 21 of 32 pass attempts for 160 and nary a touchdown nor interception. Jones also posted 35 yards rushing on top of his meager passing totals. Sunday's victory saw a boring effort from Jones. The Giants are set to face a Vikings defense in Week 16 that presents the 11th-easiest matchup for opposing QBs in adjusted fantasy points allowed this season. Those looking to stream QB in 1QB leagues, or folks in need of a QB2 in superflex leagues, can feel good about rolling out Jones against the Vikings.

Giants QB Daniel Jones threw for just 200 yards and 1 TD in Sunday's tie with the Commanders. He did prove efficient, completing 25 of 31 passes but took 4 sacks and lost a fumble. Jones also led the team with 71 rushing yards on 12 carries. He gets a tough matchup with the Eagles in Week 14.

Giants QB Daniel Jones threw for 228 yards and 1 TD in Thursday's loss to the Cowboys. It marked his 2nd-largest yardage total of the year but just 6.5 yards per pass attempt. Jones targeted 3 different teammates 6 times apiece. WR Richie James caught a team-high 5 passes for 41 yards and the lone TD. Darius Slayton caught 3 balls for 63 yards, with a 44-yard 1st-quarter snag delivering most of that. RB Saquon Barkley was the other 6-target Giant. Week 13 holds a pass-funnel matchup with Washington.

Giants QB Daniel Jones tossed 2 INTs in Sunday's loss to the Lions. His team trailed 17-6 by halftime and then 24-6 before the middle of the 3rd quarter, which helped drive up passing volume and boost Jones' fantasy numbers. He completed 27 of 44 passes for 341 yards, Jones' 1st game of 300 yards this year and just his 3rd with 200+. Jones threw just 1 TD pass (to WR Richie James) but added 50 yards and a TD on the ground. Jones entered Sunday night as the #2 fantasy QB for the week. Week 12 holds a challenging matchup with the Cowboys.

The Giants didn't ask QB Daniel Jones to do too much in Sunday's win over the Texans. They dropped him back just 23 times vs. 44 team rushing attempts. Jones took 3 sacks but went 13 of 17 passing for 197 yards (11.6 per attempt) and 2 TDs. He found WR Darius Slayton for a 54-yard score in the 3rd quarter and TE Lawrence Cager for a 9-yard TD. Jones added 24 rushing yards on 5 attempts. He's had just 1 other game of fewer than 21 pass attempts all season and had thrown 27+ passes in 4 straight before the Houston game. Expect a rebound in passing volume, though Week 11 holds another positive rushing matchup with Detroit. Slayton (3-95-1) and TE Tanner Hudson (3-24) were the only Giants to catch more than 2 balls vs. the Texans.

Daniel Jones went 17-of-31 (54.8%) passing for 176 yards and 0 TDs in Sunday's loss at Seattle. He added just 20 yards on 6 rushes in a game where the Giants couldn't get anything going against a surging defense. Jones took 5 sacks, the 3rd time this year he has reached that number. He did avoid turning the ball over, though, his 5th such game among 8 this season. WR Darius Slayton led the receivers in targets (6), receptions (5) and yards (66). TE Tanner Hudson (3-58 on 5 targets) was the only other Giant to eclipse 15 yards. WR Wan'Dale Robinson managed just 2 receptions for 15 yards on 3 targets. The Giants get their bye in Week 9.

Giants QB Daniel Jones ran for 107 yards and a TD in Sunday's win at Jacksonville. He added 202 yards and a TD passing and went without a turnover for the 4th time in 7 games. Jones will be worth a look in many fantasy football leagues over the next 3 games. The Giants will visit Seattle next week, with home dates vs. Houston and Detroit following a Week 9 bye.

Giants QB Daniel Jones threw for just 173 yards in Sunday's win over the Ravens. He tossed TD passes to rookies TE Daniel Bellinger and WR Wan'Dale Robinson. Bellinger led the team with 5 targets catching all of them for 38 yards. Robinson tied Marcus Johnson for 2nd on the team with 4 looks. He caught 3 for 37 yards. RB Saquon Barkley was the only other Giant with more than 2 receptions.

Giants QB Daniel Jones didn't appear to have any issues with his sprained ankle in Sunday's win over the Packers. He completed 21 of 27 passes for 217 yards -- a season high -- with no TDs or INTs. He also rushed for 37 yards on 10 attempts. Jones gets a home date with the Ravens in Week 6.

Giants QB Daniel Jones (ankle) isn't listed on the final injury report and will start Sunday morning's game vs. the Packers. Jones put in limited practices on Wednesday and Thursday and a full workout on Friday. It's still tough to believe that he'll have his usual mobility this weekend, which takes away most of whatever fantasy appeal Jones has. QB Tyrod Taylor (concussion) is out for Week 5, leaving QB Davis Webb as the backup.

Giants QB Daniel Jones (ankle) got in a limited practice on Wednesday. The New York media thought he looked better than expected in the open portion of practice. It looks like Jones is trending toward being available for Sunday morning's game vs. the Packers. QB Tyrod Taylor (concussion) did not practice on Wednesday.

3:30pm EDT 10/3/22

Giants QB Daniel Jones is "feeling a little bit better today," HC Brian Daboll said Monday. Daboll confirmed that Jones has a sprained ankle but wouldn't say if it's a high or low sprain. "We'll just see how that goes," Daboll added. With QB Tyrod Taylor in the concussion protocol, it's possible that the Giants are forced to start QB Davis Webb vs. the Packers in London on Sunday.
