Bills TE Dawson Knox had surgery on his broken hand and is expected to miss 3 weeks, according to NFL Network's Mike Garafolo. Knox has a Week 7 bye, meaning that he should just miss the next 2 games vs. Miami and Jacksonville and return for Week 10. TE Tommy Sweeney is next up on Buffalo's depth chart but is unlikely to be a fantasy factor. WRs Stefon Diggs, Emmanuel Sanders and Cole Beasley should pick up extra targets with Knox out.
Bills TE Dawson Knox broke a bone in his hand in Monday night's loss to the Titans, NFL Network's Mike Garafolo reports. "Timeline TBD but the hope is he won’t miss much time, especially with the bye," Garafolo adds. Bills TE Dawson Knox left early in the 4th quarter of Monday night's game at Tennessee with a hand injury. ESPN reported that he hurt the hand before throwing a 2-point conversion pass to Josh Allen, but went through with the play anyway. Knox is questionable to return.
Joe Buscaglia of The Athletic believes Bills TE Dawson Knox is “quickly speeding away” with the starting job. Free agent addition Jacob Hollister has missed most of training camp with a back injury. Per Buscaglia, Knox has “looked impressive” outside of 1 drop. Perhaps his development is why Buffalo hasn’t made a move for Zach Ertz. Knox, only 24, is currently coming off the board at TE28 in FFPC best balls.
Bills WR Cole Beasley, WR John Brown, RB Devin Singletary and TE Dawson Knox are all inactive for today’s game against the Jets. Don’t expect to see much of QB Josh Allen or RB Frank Gore. Top CB Tre’Davious White is also inactive for Buffalo.
