James Conner Fantasy Football News | Shark Bites

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

Cardinals RB James Conner (ribs) returned to practice on Saturday. HC Kliff Kingsbury said the veteran was “able to do some things” during the session, per ESPN's Josh Weinfuss. (Thanks, coach.) Conner remains a game-time decision for Monday night, but today’s development makes him a small favorite to play against L.A.

Cardinals RB James Conner (ribs) remained out and RB Chase Edmonds (ribs, toe) remained limited on Friday. Both guys will be game-time decisions, according to HC Kliff Kingsbury, but Edmonds looks like the safer bet to play at this point. We'll get Arizona's final injury report on Saturday afternoon.

Cardinals RB James Conner (ribs) did not practice on Thursday. RB Chase Edmonds (ribs, toe) was limited. HC Kliff Kingsbury labeled both guys game-time decisions for Monday night's Wild Card game vs. the Rams, but Edmonds appears to be the healthier of the 2 right now. We'll get another update on the situation on Friday afternoon.

Cardinals RB James Conner suffered a rib injury in the 4th quarter of Sunday's game vs. the Seahawks and is officially questionable to return. Arizona is already without RB Chase Edmonds and also lost RB Jonathan Ward to a knee injury today. RB Eno Benjamin is the last man standing.

Cardinals RB James Conner (heel) is active for today’s game vs. the Seahawks. He was limited in practice all week and listed as questionable, so it’s unclear how close to 100% he is for this one. But Conner averaged 17.0 carries and 5.2 targets in 5 games without RB Chase Edmonds earlier this season, so the ceiling is lofty.

Cardinals RB James Conner (heel) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game vs. the Seahawks. We're expecting him to play after getting in 3 limited practices this week but will look for an update on his status on Sunday morning. Seahawks-Cardinals kicks off at 4:25 pm ET. With RB Chase Edmonds (ribs, toe) ruled out, Arizona would be down to RBs Eno Benjamin and Jonathan Ward if Conner can't go.

Cardinals RB Chase Edmonds (ribs, toe) won't play vs. the Seahawks this weekend, HC Kliff Kingsbury said Friday. Edmonds didn't practice on Wednesday or Thursday, and this early rule-out puts his status for the opening round of the playoffs in question. Assuming RB James Conner's heel is reasonably healthy, he'll carry big upside in Week 18 fantasy lineups. We'll get another update on Conner later today.

Cardinals RB Chase Edmonds (ribs, toe) missed his 2nd straight practice on Thursday. RB James Conner (heel) remained limited but suddenly looks like the healthier RB in Arizona. We'll see what these guys do on Friday and how they're listed on the final injury report for Sunday's game vs. Seattle.

Cardinals RB James Conner (heel) was limited in Wednesday's practice. That's an upgrade over last week, when he only got in a limited practice on Friday. We'll see if Conner can make it back for this weekend's game vs. the Seahawks.

Cardinals RB James Conner (heel) is inactive for today’s game vs. the Cowboys. That should put RB Chase Edmonds back in a feature role. He racked up 16 carries and 9 targets with Conner out last week.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport hears that there's "optimism" Cardinals RB James Conner (heel) will be able to play vs. the Cowboys today. Conner is listed as questionable after getting in just a limited practice on Friday, so he'd come with elevated risk in fantasy lineups if he ends up playing. We'll get Arizona's inactives around 3 pm ET.

Cardinals RB James Conner (heel) is listed as questionable for this weekend’s game vs. the Cowboys. He returned to a limited practice on Friday after missing the first 2 workouts of the week. HC Kliff Kingsbury has called Conner a game-time decision. Cardinals-Cowboys doesn’t kick off until 4:25 pm ET, but we’ll look for a Conner update on Sunday morning.

Cardinals RB James Conner (heel) missed practice again on Thursday. Beat writers saw him on the field for the start of practice, but he evidently didn't do enough to even earn a "limited" tag. Fantasy owners can't be counting on Conner playing vs. the Cowboys this weekend at this point, but we'll get another update on his status tomorrow.

Cardinals RB James Conner (heel) did not practice on Wednesday. HC Kliff Kingsbury labeled him "day to day," but there's certainly a chance that Conner misses this weekend's game vs. Dallas. Check back tomorrow for another update.

6:47pm EST 12/25/21

Cardinals RB James Conner (heel) is inactive for tonight's game agains the Colts. That leaves Arizona's backfield to Chase Edmonds, Eno Benjamin and Jonathan Ward. Edmonds should handle the bulk of the work and is a strong fantasy play tonight.

Cardinals RB James Conner (heel) is listed as questionable for Saturday night's game vs. the Colts. He didn't practice all week. HC Kliff Kingsbury labeled Conner a game-time decision. Conner said that this is a pain-management issue and that he's "confident" he'll play on Saturday. We'll get Arizona's inactives around 7 pm ET.

Cardinals RB James Conner has yet to practice this week and is on the injury report with a heel. It was an ankle issue that had him questionable going into last week's game vs. the Lions. We'll see if Conner practices tomorrow and then how he's listed on the final injury report for Saturday's game vs. the Colts.

Cardinals RBs James Conner (ankle) and Chase Edmonds (ankle) are active for today’s game vs. the Lions. Conner only got in a limited practice on Friday after hurting his ankle at the end of last week’s loss to the Rams. Edmonds is back after suffering a high-ankle sprain in Week 9. It’s unclear exactly how touches will be divvied today, but both guys are RB2s with upside vs. Detroit’s 29th-ranked RB defense. RB Eno Benjamin is a healthy scratch today.
