Joshua Dobbs Fantasy Football News | Shark Bites

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

Cardinals QB Kyler Murray (knee) was listed as a full participant in Wednesday's practice. NFL Network's Ian Rapoport said Sunday that Week 10 is Murray's most realistic return date, with Week 9 an outside possibility. So we're still not expecting Murray to play vs. the Ravens on Sunday. But we'll continue to keep a close eye on his progress.

Cardinals QB Kyler Murray (knee) is out for Sunday’s game vs. the Seahawks. He returned to practice this week but figures to need a couple of weeks to ramp up before he’s ready for game action. QB Josh Dobbs gets another start on Sunday.

Cardinals QB Joshua Dobbs struggled with turnovers in Sunday’s loss vs. the Bengals. He totaled 15 completions on 32 attempts for 166 yards with 2 TDs in the contest to go along with a pair of INTs and a lost fumble. Dobbs’ rushing has consistently helped bring up his fantasy scoring floor of late, but he unfortunately only managed 1 rushing yards in Week 5. We’ll see if he can bounce back in Week 6 vs. the Rams, but he’s best left out of the lineup conversation in 1QB leagues.

Cardinals WR Marquise Brown gathered 5 catches, 61 yards, and 1 score in a Week 3 win over Dallas. His 7 targets represented a 33.3% team share. He’s benefiting from Josh Dobbs’ surprisingly effective play, as the QB hit him both downfield (23 yards) and at the goal line (2 yards) on tight-window connections. Brown now travels to San Francisco looking to sustain a hefty season-long target share of 27.5%.

Cardinals QB Joshua Dobbs completed 21 passes on 31 attempts for 228 passing yards with 1 TD and zero INTs in Week 1 vs. the Giants. He also ran the ball 3 times for 41 yards and a TD on the ground. The Cardinals were surprisingly competitive in this contest, and Dobbs may end up finishing as a QB1 this week. That said, we don’t expect this to be the norm. There’s an equally valid argument that this performance was less about Arizona being good and more about the Giants simply being bad. We won’t be champing at the bit to throw Dobbs into lineups in Week 3 vs. the Cowboys.

Cardinals QB Joshua Dobbs completed 21 passes on 30 attempts for 132 passing yards with no TDs or INTs in Week 1's loss vs. the Commanders. The journeyman signal-caller also coughed up 3 fumbles, losing 2 to the defense. We didn’t expect much from Dobbs to begin with. Fantasy managers shouldn’t use him in lineups outside of deep superflex leagues.

The Cardinals are expected to start QB Josh Dobbs in Sunday's opener at Washington, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. That leaves rookie QB Clayton Tune as the backup ... and Arizona's receivers likely wondering when QB Kyler Murray will return. Dobbs has started just two career games since arriving as a fourth-round pick of the Steelers back in 2017, and both starts came last year. He has 85 career pass attempts, with 58.8% completions, 2 TDs, 3 INTs and 75 yards rushing (at 5.4 per attempt). That last aspect could give him some appeal as a cheap DFS play in Week 1. But the biggest fantasy impact here for most leagues is that Washington just might be the best fantasy defense for Week 1. You can see where Dobbs sits in our Week 1 QB rankings ... but you'll need to scroll down a good bit.

The Cardinals will keep QB Kyler Murray on the physically unable to perform list to open the regular season, according to multiple reports. That's no surprise, as Murray continues to work back from a November ACL tear. He'll miss at least the first four games. We've had Murray projected to miss five games all along in your fantasy football rankings. The Cardinals are also releasing QB Colt McCoy. That'll mean it's either rookie Clayton Tune or newly acquired Josh Dobbs starting for Arizona over the first month. We'll see who wins that post between now and Week 1.

The Cardinals acquired QB Joshua Dobbs and a 2024 seventh-round pick from the Browns in exchange for a 2024 fifth-rounder. Dobbs joins Colt McCoy and Clayton Tune as the healthy QBs in Arizona. The Cardinals have yet to name a Week 1 starter, with QB Kyler Murray still on the mend. The Browns, meanwhile, look set to roll with rookie QB Dorian Thompson-Robinson as QB Deshaun Watson's backup.

Titans HC Mike Vrabel named QB Joshua Dobbs his starter for this weekend's must-win game vs. the Jaguars. It was the only logical move after Dobbs looked like a functional NFL QB in Thursday night's loss to the Cowboys -- something that hasn't been said about QB Malik Willis this season. Of course, the Titans will ride RB Derrick Henry as far as he can take them this Sunday.

Titans HC Mike Vrabel declined to name a starting QB for Week 18 after Thursday night's loss to the Cowboys. Joshua Dobbs looked like a functional NFL QB for most of that game, finishing 20-of-39 for 232 yards, 1 TD and 1 INT. "It was a great opportunity to evaluate Josh, and we'll make a decision going forward," Vrabel said. "I thought he did some good things, and obviously a couple of throws he'd like to have back. We'll see where things are here in a couple of days." Dobbs threw for just 2 fewer yards against Dallas than QB Malik Willis TOTALED in his 3 starts. We're guessing the Titans roll with Dobbs in next weekend's must-win game vs. the Jaguars, but we'll keep you updated.

The Titans placed QB Ryan Tannehill (ankle) on IR on Thursday. That makes the AFC Championship his earliest possible return this season. We'll see if the Titans roll with QB Malik Willis or QB Joshua Dobbs in next Sunday's must-win game vs. the Jaguars.

Titans QB Joshua Dobbs will start Thursday night's game vs. the Cowboys, according to multiple reports. NFL Network's Ian Rapoport suggests that QB Malik Willis is sitting to ensure that he's healthy for next weekend's must-win game vs. the Jaguars. Dobbs joined the Titans off the Lions' practice squad on December 21. This will be his first NFL start. You should stay far away from the Titans passing game in Week 17 fantasy lineups.

The Browns signed former 1st-round QB Josh Rosen to a 1-year deal, per ESPN’s Adam Schefter. It’s a depth move for a Browns squad that’ll also enter camp with Jacoby Brissett and Josh Dobbs behind Deshaun Watson. News on Watson’s suspension length could come any day now.
