Kyler Murray Fantasy Football News | Shark Bites

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

Cardinals QB Kyler Murray threw for 191 yards and 2 TDs (plus an INT) in Sunday's return from 2 games lost to a hamstring injury. He added 56 yards and a TD on 7 carries. Murray now gets a Week 13 bye and then a fairly neutral closing schedule -- with the highlight a Week 17 trip to Atlanta.

Cardinals QB Kyler Murray (hamstring) put in a full week of practice and isn’t listed on the final Week 12 injury report. "He feels great, he feels 100%,” HC Kliff Kingsbury said Friday. “If there was anything less than that we would have maybe waited, but he feels full go, so we're going to get him going." Murray will be back under center for Sunday’s game vs. the Chargers.

Cardinals WR Marquise Brown (foot) is expected to be activated from IR and play vs. the Chargers on Sunday, HC Kliff Kingsbury said. Brown has been practicing for a couple of weeks now after going down back in Week 6. He carries elevated risk in his 1st game back but certainly has enough upside to make sense in plenty of fantasy lineups. Brown averaged 10.7 targets, 7.2 catches, 81 yards and .5 TDs over the first 6 games of the season -- although none of those came with WR DeAndre Hopkins.

Cardinals QB Kyler Murray (hamstring) was a full participant in Wednesday's practice. It's his 1st full practice since going down in Week 9, putting Murray on track to return for this weekend's game vs. the Chargers.

Cardinals HC Kliff Kingsbury said Wednesday that QB Kyler Murray (hamstring) is "trending in the right direction" to return for Sunday's game vs. the Chargers. Murray said that he "feels good" and expects to start that game. Arizona has seemingly played it very safe with this hamstring, so we're expecting Murray to be very close to 100% if he suits up this weekend.

Cardinals HC Kliff Kingsbury said Tuesday that QB Kyler Murray has progressed "quite a bit" with his hamstring injury. Kingsbury did not say whether Murray will be back for Week 12, though, saying that he needs to be "full throttle" before getting back under center. We'll track Murray's status throughout the week. Kingsbury also said that QB Colt McCoy is "banged up" with elbow, hand and knee injuries.

Cardinals QB Kyler Murray (hamstring) is inactive for tonight’s matchup with the 49ers. Colt McCoy will make his 2nd straight start.

ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reports that Cardinals QB Kyler Murray (hamstring) might not return until after the team's Week 13 bye, "depending how the injury heals this week." It's already assumed Murray will miss tonight's game against the 49ers. This would mean he also misses next Sunday's clash with the Chargers. We'll watch to see what happens on that front this week. Colt McCoy remains the next man up.

FOX's Peter Schrager reports that QB Colt McCoy is expected to start Monday night against the 49ers. That would mean a 2nd straight missed game for QB Kyler Murray (hamstring). We're updating the Week 11 fantasy football rankings to reflect the QB change, though the QB switch shouldn't make a huge difference for the outlooks of Arizona pass-catchers.

Cardinals HC Kliff Kingsbury said Friday that QB Kyler Murray's injured hamstring has "come a long way," according to ESPN's Josh Weinfuss. But the coach also said Murray will still be a game-time decision for Monday night against the 49ers. That late kick will make Murray difficult to wait for in fantasy football lineups unless you have Jimmy Garoppolo or Colt McCoy as insurance. We'll watch for early signals on the expectation for Murray's involvement.

Update: Murray is officially listed as questionable after getting in 3 limited practices this week.

Cardinals QB Kyler Murray (hamstring) remained limited in Friday's practice. We'll see what he does on Saturday and how he's listed on the final injury report for Monday night's game vs. the 49ers. QB Colt McCoy (knee) was a full-go on Saturday, so it looks like he'll be available to start if Murray can't.

Cardinals HC Kliff Kingsbury said Friday that QB Kyler Murray is "progressing" and has "come a long way" with his hamstring injury. Kingsbury went on to call Murray a game-time decision for Monday night's meeting with the 49ers -- which Kingsbury does for pretty much every questionable player. We'll get a couple more practice reports on Murray and then see how he's listed on the final injury report on Saturday afternoon.

Cardinals QB Kyler Murray (hamstring) got in a limited practice on Thursday. We'll see how he progresses over the next few days, leading up to Monday night's game vs. the 49ers. QB Colt McCoy (knee) was also limited on Thursday.

ESPN's Jeremy Fowler believes the Cardinals might give QB Kyler Murray's injured hamstring "another week or so to heal." We've been expecting Murray to play vs. the 49ers on Monday night considering he got in a couple of limited practices last week, but Fowler says Arizona will see how Murray progresses throughout this week. Fowler adds that the Cardinals believe they can win with QB Colt McCoy, who's 3-1 as the team's starter. We'll get Arizona's first practice report of the week this afternoon.

Cardinals QB Kyler Murray (hamstring) is inactive for today’s game vs. the Rams. He was reportedly a game-time decision, so expect him back for Week 11, barring a setback next week. QB Colt McCoy gets the start today. He averaged 228 yards and 1 TD on a 76% completion rate and 7.6 yards per attempt across 3 starts for Arizona last year. McCoy is just a low-end QB2 but should at least give this offense a shot to move the ball today.

Cardinals QB Kyler Murray (hamstring) is not expected to play against the Rams today, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. A final decision won't come until pregame warmups, but Schefter says QB Colt McCoy is "likely" to get the start. NFL Network's Ian Rapoport agrees, tweeting that Murray is "unlikely" to play. "He's still moving very gingerly," Rapoport adds. We won't get Arizona's inactives until 3 pm ET, but fantasy owners should operate under the assumption that Murray will not play.
