Myles Gaskin Fantasy Football News | Shark Bites

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

The Texans are trading RB Cam Akers to the Vikings for a swap of conditional Day 3 draft picks in 2026. Houston's sending Akers and a conditional seventh-rounder to the Vikings for a conditional sixth-rounder, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero.

Rams RB Zach Evans is a healthy scratch for today's game vs. the Cowboys. Not a big surprise after he played zero snaps last week. RB Myles Gaskin is active for Los Angeles, but we're expecting RBs Darrell Henderson and Royce Freeman to again handle the majority of the work.

Rams RB Myles Gaskin is a healthy scratch for today’s game vs. the Steelers. RBs Royce Freeman, Darrell Henderson, and Zach Evans are active. ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported this morning that Freeman and Henderson will get "the majority of the workload” today. See our projections for the Rams backfield.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that Rams RBs Royce Freeman and Darrell Henderson are expected to lead the backfield vs. the Steelers today. Those two will get "the majority of the workload," a source tells Schefter, while rookie RB Zach Evans serves as the No. 3 RB. RB Myles Gaskin will be inactive today, per Schefter, but is expected to play next week. This backfield will continue to evolve while RB Kyren Williams recovers from his ankle injury. And Schefter adds that no Rams RB will "dominate the workload the way Williams did before he suffered a high ankle sprain ... and that might be the case even once Williams returns as the team aims to preserve his longevity." For Week 7, Freeman and Henderson are just desperation fantasy plays in what figures to be a pass-heavy game plan from Los Angeles. Evans is not useable.

The Rams placed RB Kyren Williams on IR with his ankle injury, knocking him out for the next four games. Los Angeles has a Week 10 bye, so we won't see Williams until Week 12 at the earliest. He's worth keeping stashed in the vast majority of fantasy leagues considering how productive he was before going down. We'll get our first look at the Rams' Williams-less backfield in tomorrow's game vs. the Steelers.

Rams RB Kyren Williams (ankle) is out for Sunday’s game vs. the Steelers. He’s likely to miss multiple games with his ankle sprain. With RB Ronnie Rivers (knee) on IR, the Rams have RBs Zach Evans, Royce Freeman, Darrell Henderson, and Myles Gaskin available this weekend. HC Sean McVay said Friday that he plans on using three or even all four guys – but wouldn’t say what the rotation will look like. This is a situation to try to avoid in Week 7 fantasy lineups.

Asked Wednesday if rookie RB Zach Evans is on track to start Sunday against the Steelers, Rams HC Sean McVay said: "I wouldn't say that. All four of those guys are possibilities, and we're truly navigating through that." The other three, of course, are Royce Freeman, Myles Gaskin, and Darrell Henderson. McVay added that Evans has improved and said, "I'm looking forward to seeing how he handles this week." QB Matthew Stafford separately told The Athletic's Jordan Rodrigue that this is a "compete for carries" week. We'll see how the week finishes out, but you should bet on no single player controlling backfield work the way Kyren Williams has to this point. All L.A. RBs will make for risky Week 7 plays, barring word from McVay that someone has emerged as the clear leader.

Rams QB Matt Stafford said Wednesday that it's a "compete for carries" week, per The Athletic's Jourdan Rodrigue. RBs Kyren Williams (ankle) and Ronnie Rivers (knee) will miss Sunday's game vs. the Steelers, leaving RBs Zach Evans, Darrell Henderson, Myles Gaskin, and Royce Freeman to battle for snaps and touches. HC Sean McVay echoed Stafford's sentiment. "We've got the week to be able to evaluate," McVay said. "I would say all four of those guys are possibilities, and we're truly navigating through that." McVay added that he was "pleased" with how RB Zach Evans played in his first six offensive snaps of the season last week. We'll continue to look for clues on what Los Angeles' backfield will look like on Sunday, but we probably won't have a great idea until the game is underway.

ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reports that the Rams expect RB Kyren Williams to miss "multiple games" with his ankle sprain. Williams "should be back, at the latest, after the Week 10 bye." That would mean three missed games, which should affect your waiver and potential trade moves this week. The Rams will turn to some combo of Zach Evans, Royce Freeman, Myles Gaskin, and Darrell Henderson in the meantime. We'll keep watch for more insight into the plan ahead of Sunday's game against the Steelers.

The Rams are signing RB Myles Gaskin away from Minnesota's practice squad. That means he'll need to join L.A.'s active roster, which should put Gaskin in the mix for playing time Sunday against the Steelers. This, of course, comes on the same day the Rams added Darrell Henderson to their practice squad. We'll continue watching for any further insight into how the team plans to spread backfield work while Kyren Williams is out.

Vikings RB Kene Nwangwu has been placed on IR. That knocks him out for at least the first four games of the season. Minnesota signed RB Myles Gaskin, who figures to serve as the No. 3 RB behind Alexander Mattison and Ty Chandler.

The Dolphins held RBs Jeff Wilson and Raheem Mostert out of Friday night's preseason opener vs. the Falcons. But Devon Achane was still just the third RB to hit the field for Miami, behind Myles Gaskin and Salvon Ahmed. Achane, of course, is a rookie and missed a couple of days of practice earlier in the week with an undisclosed injury. We're still expecting him to be one of Miami's top-three backs by the time Week 1 rolls around, but his standing on the depth chart will be worth watching closely the rest of the summer.

Dolphins Jeff Wilson Jr. (hip) is active for today’s game vs. the Packers. He was limited in practice all week and listed as questionable, so it’s unclear how big a role he’ll play in this one. Consider Wilson a risk/reward RB3 in the plus matchup. RB Raheem Mostert remains the best bet in Miami’s backfield. RB Myles Gaskin is a healthy scratch.

Dolphins RB Jeff Wilson (hip) is inactive for tonight's game against the Bills. Raheem Mostert will operate as the clear lead back, with Myles Gaskin and Salvon Ahmed behind him.

Dolphins RB Raheem Mostert (knee) is inactive for today’s game vs. the Texans. That leaves Jeff Wilson as Miami’s clear lead back in a dream matchup. He’s a RB1 play today. RBs Salvon Ahmed and Myles Gaskin are active behind Wilson.

Dolphins RB Raheem Mostert (knee) missed his 2nd straight practice on Thursday. He now looks extremely iffy for this weekend's game vs. the Texans. Mostert's absence would leave RBs Salvon Ahmed and Myles Gaskin behind lead back Jeff Wilson.

The Dolphins are sending RB Chase Edmonds and 2 draft picks to the Broncos for EDGE Bradley Chubb. The Broncos are getting a 2023 first-rounder that initially belonged to San Francisco, as well as a 4th-rounder in 2024. Miami will get a 5th-rounder in 2025. Chubb upgrades a Dolphins pass rush that ranks just 23rd in sacks and has dealt with some injuries. He's in the final year of his rookie deal, so we'd bet on an extension following. Edmonds played his way out of the starting backfield gig in Miami but lands in a Denver offense that presents opportunity. We'll see about the team's RB plans coming out of the Week 9 bye, though we wouldn't bet on any of the Denver backs truly taking over. Chubb's departure should mean more playing time for 2nd-round rookie EDGE Nik Bonitto, who has 1.5 sacks over his past 2 games. Myles Gaskin looks like the #2 RB in Miami now.

11:32am EDT 10/16/22

Dolphins RB Raheem Mostert (knee) is active for today’s game vs. the Vikings. He got in just 2 limited practices this week and was listed as questionable, adding some risk to his fantasy profile. But Mostert should be busy today as long as that knee holds up. RB Myles Gaskin is a healthy scratch for this one, suggesting confidence in Mostert’s health.
