Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.
Texans WR Tank Dell (calf) returned to a limited practice on Thursday. The rookie is fully expected to play vs. the Broncos this weekend, but check back tomorrow to see how he's listed on the final injury report.
Texans WR Tank Dell missed Wednesday's practice with a calf injury. He had imaging done on the calf after last week's loss to the Jaguars, per insider Aaron Wilson, but the injury is considered "relatively minor," and Dell is expected to play vs. the Broncos this weekend. We'll keep an eye on the rookie over the next few days, but he can stay penciled into Week 13 fantasy lineups.
Texans WR Tank Dell posted a 5-50-1 receiving line in Sunday's loss to the Jaguars. That trailed WR Nico Collins (7-104-1) and marked the second straight game in which he drew fewer targets than Collins. But Dell had another target negated by penalty, and it came on a key play. Dell caught a 62-yard pass that would have been the team's longest play by 28 yards, but an illegal-shift penalty negated the play. That wiped out a target that would have tied Dell with Collins for the team lead and eliminated a catch that would have given him the slight edge over Collins. Dell remains a strong target bet and should be in most fantasy lineups the rest of the way.
Texans WR Noah Brown (knee) remained sidelined on Wednesday. At this point, fantasy owners shouldn't be counting on him returning for this weekend's game vs. the Jaguars. That'd again leave Tank Dell, Nico Collins, and Robert Woods as Houston's top three WRs.
Texans WR Noah Brown (knee) is inactive for today’s game vs. the Cardinals. That leaves Robert Woods in the No. 3 WR spot, behind Tank Dell and Nico Collins. Woods has been inefficient all season and is no better than a WR4 today.
Texans WR Nico Collins (calf) did not practice on Wednesday. No word yet on the severity of the injury or whether Collins is in danger of missing this weekend's game vs. the Bengals. His absence would be a boost for WRs Tank Dell and Noah Brown and TE Dalton Schultz. Check back tomorrow for another update on Collins.
Texans WR Robert Woods (foot) remained sidelined on Wednesday. His absence vs. the Bengals this weekend would keep Nico Collins, Tank Dell, and Noah Brown locked in as Houston's top three WRs.
Texans WR Tank Dell hauled in six balls for 114 yards and two scores in the 39-37 Week 9 win over the Bucs. The rookie came up clutch on the game-winning drive, catching a 26-yarder to get the Texans down to Tampa's 15-yard line -- and then securing a 15-yard TD on the very next play. Dell tied TE Dalton Schultz with a team-high 11 targets and also carried twice. It was a strong bounce-back effort from Dell, who'd been mostly quiet since posting 7-72-1 and 5-145-1 lines in Weeks 2 and 3. We'll still need to check on Dell's playing time once WR Robert Woods returns from his foot injury. Dell played behind Woods and WR Noah Brown back in Week 1. But it'd be malpractice for the Texans to cut Dell's snaps considering how explosive he's been this season. The upcoming schedule is favorable: Bengals, Cardinals, Jaguars, and Broncos.
Texans WR Robert Woods (foot) is out for Sunday’s game vs. the Bucs, as expected. That leaves Nico Collins, Tank Dell, and Noah Brown as Houston’s clear top three WRs. See where they sit in the Week 9 Rankings.
Texans WR Robert Woods is expected to miss 2-3 weeks with his foot injury, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports. Woods is out for today's game vs. the Panthers, and it sounds like he'll also miss Week 9. His absence can't be bad news for WRs Nico Collins and Tank Dell.
Texans WR Robert Woods (foot) is out for Sunday’s game vs. the Panthers. WR Tank Dell (concussion) is off the final injury report and will play. The rookie is a WR3 with upside against a burnable Carolina secondary.
Texans WR Robert Woods (foot) is not expected to play vs. the Panthers on Sunday, per insider Aaron Wilson. Hopefully you weren't hoping to use Woods in Week 8 fantasy lineups. The big impact here in on WR Tank Dell, who we were worried might not play a full slate of snaps alongside Woods and WR Noah Brown. Now that Woods is out, Nico Collins, Dell, and Brown should be locked in as Houston's top three WRs.
Texans WR Tank Dell (concussion) was a full participant in Wednesday's practice. He's on track to return for this weekend's game vs. the Panthers.
Texans WR Tank Dell (concussion) is inactive for today’s game vs. the Saints. The rookie gets a Week 7 bye and should be cleared to return for Week 8.
ESPN's Adam Schefter confirms that Texans WR Tank Dell (concussion) is not expected to play vs. the Saints today. He's listed as questionable but only returned to a limited practice on Friday, leaving him as a long shot to clear the protocol before kickoff. Dell gets a Week 7 bye and should be back for Week 8.
Texans WR Tank Dell (concussion) is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game vs. the Saints. He returned to a limited practice on Friday after missing the previous two days. Dell is still a long shot to be cleared by Sunday, but we’ll keep you updated on his status.
Texans WR Robert Woods (ribs) returned to a limited practice on Thursday. That gives him a shot to play vs. the Saints this weekend. We'll see how Woods is listed on the final injury report tomorrow. WR Tank Dell (concussion) remained sidelined on Thursday and is a long shot to play this weekend.
Texans WR Tank Dell (concussion) did not practice on Wednesday. The rookie is unlikely to play vs. the Saints this weekend. WR Robert Woods (ribs) was also out on Wednesday and is iffy for Sunday's game. Houston did get WR Noah Brown (groin) back to a full practice today. He'd join WRs John Metchie and Xavier Hutchinson behind No. 1 Nico Collins if Dell and Woods are out.
Texans WR Tank Dell has been ruled out of Sunday's game vs. the Falcons with a concussion. We'll track his progress through the protocol this week. The vast majority of concussed players have not been cleared for the following week this season. The Texans have a Week 7 bye.
