Noah Fant Fantasy Football News | Shark Bites

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

Seahawks TE Will Dissly (shoulder) is inactive for today’s game vs. the Panthers. His absence is a slight boost to TE Noah Fant.

2:40pm EDT 7/30/23

Seahawks TE Noah Fant passed his physical and was removed from the PUP list on Sunday. The veteran missed only a few practices with a knee issue. He projects as a low-end fantasy TE2.

Seahawks HC Pete Carroll revealed that TE Noah Fant is recovering from knee surgery. No word on when the procedure occurred or what it entailed, but Carroll expects Fant back on the field soon. “He can run full speed," Carroll said. "He can do all the stuff. But we don’t want to push him yet.” Fant opened camp on the PUP list. We'll let you know when he's activated and returns to practice. Fant is coming off a TE17 finish in PPR points and faces additional target competition this year with the arrival of first-round rookie WR Jaxon Smith-Njigba.

Seahawks TE Noah Fant is opening training camp on the PUP list. No word yet on what's keeping him sidelined. He dealt with knee trouble last year but played in all 17 games. We'll update Fant's status when we know more.

Seahawks TE Noah Fant (knee) was a limited practice participant on Thursday and doesn't carry an injury tag in advance of Saturday's Wild Card game vs. the 49ers. Though Fant led all Seahawks TEs in target share this season (11.3%), his teammates Colby Parkinson and Will Dissly combined for a 13.6% share between them. It's a 3-headed attack with little predictability. We're not particularly keen on Fant or any other Seahawks TE in any playoff tournament.

Seahawks WR Tyler Lockett (shin) practiced fully again on Wednesday. TE Noah Fant (knee) was listed with limited participation, an upgrade from Tuesday. This all certainly bodes well for the Seahawks ahead of Saturday's Wild Card game vs. the 49ers. Check back for further updates tomorrow.

Seahawks WR Tyler Lockett (shin) was listed as a full practice participant on Tuesday. TE Noah Fant (knee), on the other hand, did not log participation. We'll have a clearer picture of these Seahawks' availability for Saturday's Wild Card game vs. the 49ers tomorrow. Check back for further updates.

Seahawks TE Noah Fant (knee) practiced fully on Friday and doesn't appear with an official injury designation ahead of Week 18. The veteran has mustered just 4 catches on 6 targets over the past 2 weeks. TE Colby Parkinson actually ran more routes (28 to 21) and tallied more targets (7 to 3) last week. We consider Fant a low-end TE2 for fantasy purposes. There are likely better options available.

Seahawks TE Noah Fant (knee) practiced in a limited capacity on Thursday. This is certainly good news considering Fant didn't practice on Wednesday. We'll keep an eye on his status ahead of Week 18 vs. the Rams. Tomorrow's injury report will shed more light on his availability.

Seahawks WR Tyler Lockett (shin) didn't participate in practice on Wednesday. TE Noah Fant (knee) was also absent from practice. There's still a lot of time for this duo of pass-catchers to ramp up activity ahead of Week 18 vs. the Rams. Be sure to check back tomorrow for more information.

Seahawks WR Tyler Lockett (finger) returned to practice on Thursday and participated in a limited fashion. The veteran wideout has not played since breaking his finger in Week 15 vs. the 49ers. Teammate WR Marquise Goodwin (shoulder, wrist) did not practice for the 2nd day in a row. TE Noah Fant (knee) upgraded to full participation. Friday's report will give official designations for the trio in advance of Week 17 vs. the Jets. Check back tomorrow.

Seahawks WRs Tyler Lockett (finger) and Marquise Goodwin (shoulder, wrist) did not practice on Wednesday. TE Noah Fant (knee) did not practice either. It's still early in the week though. We'll keep tabs on this trio of pass-catchers ahead of Week 17 vs. the Jets.

7:38pm EST 12/27/22

The Seahawks placed TE Will Dissly on IR with a knee injury, ending his regular season. Dissly has averaged 2.5 targets per game this season, so his absence is just a slight boost to TE Noah Fant's fantasy value.

Seahawks QB Geno Smith threw for just 215 yards on 25-of-40 passing in Saturday's loss to the Chiefs, with 1 TD and 1 INT. His 74.5 passer rating was his lowest mark of the year. WR D.K. Metcalf led the receiving with 7 catches for 81 yards on 9 targets. RB DeeJay Dallas checked in next by catching all 6 of his targets for 32 yards. WR Marquise Goodwin went catch-less among 4 targets. TE Noah Fant caught the team's only TD among 2 receptions for 12 yards. Seattle might get better weather in Week 17 but will face a much tougher defense in the Jets.

11:36am EST 12/24/22

Seahawks TE Noah Fant (knee) is active for today’s game vs. the Chiefs. He only got in a limited practice on Thursday and was listed as questionable, so Fant figures to be operating at less than 100% in this one.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport hears that Seahawks TE Noah Fant (knee) is expected to play vs. the Chiefs today. Fant is listed as questionable after getting in just a limited practice on Thursday, so it's safe to assume he won't be at 100% for this one. He remains in the fantasy mix, though, with WR Tyler Lockett's absence freeing up a bunch of target opportunity.

Seahawks TE Noah Fant (knee) is officially listed as questionable for Week 16 vs. the Chiefs. HC Pete Carroll said Thursday that he anticipates Fant will be able to play on Saturday. The Chiefs' defense ranks as the 8th-best matchup for opposing TEs in adjusted fantasy points allowed in 2022. As such, Fant is best considered a high-end TE2 candidate.

Seahawks TE Noah Fant (knee) was not a participant in practice again on Wednesday. This marks the 2nd day in a row the TE did not log any practice. At this point, it doesn't seem like he'll be playing against the Chiefs on Saturday. We'll get a final word on his Week 16 status tomorrow though. Keep an eye out for updates.

Seahawks TE Noah Fant (knee) was a no-go at practice on Tuesday. The Seahawks are set to square off against the Chiefs this Saturday. We’ll keep our eyes peeled for updates on this front later today. Early signs are troubling, however.

Seahawks WR Tyler Lockett will undergo surgery to repair his fractured finger, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. "It's possible he only misses one game and is back for the final two," Rapoport adds. "But a firm timetable will be available post-surgery." We'll keep you update on Lockett's rehab and timeline for return. His absence next weekend will leave Marquise Goodwin as Seattle's #2 WR -- and leave potential targets for WR D.K. Metcalf and TE Noah Fant.
