Samaje Perine Fantasy Football News | Shark Bites

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

Bengals RB Joe Mixon (ankle) did not practice on Wednesday. HC Zac Taylor insists Mixon's injury isn't serious, but he still looks iffy for this weekend's game vs. the Packers. Mixon's absence would leave Samaje Perine as Cincinnati's lead back.

Bengals HC Zac Taylor labeled RB Joe Mixon (ankle) "more day to day" (than week to week) and said he'll be limited in practice to open the week. Taylor continues to be more optimistic on Mixon's injury than reports from the national media. We'll keep a close eye on Mixon's practice participation this week. Backup RB Samaje Perine remains worth stashing on fantasy rosters in the meantime.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that Bengals RB Joe Mixon is "week to week" with a "low-grade" ankle sprain. HC Zac Taylor said Friday that Mixon has "a chance" to play vs. the Packers this weekend, but this report has us less optimistic. Samaje Perine will step in as Cincinnati's lead back if Mixon misses time, with rookie Chris Evans in a change-of-pace role.

Bengals RB Joe Mixon was knocked out late in Thursday night's game vs. the Jaguars with an ankle injury. HC Zac Taylor called it "minor" after the win. Mixon has 10 days to get ready for Cincinnati's Week 5 game vs. the Packers. We'll monitor his status next week. If Mixon misses time, it'd likely be Samaje Perine as the Bengals' lead back, with Chris Evans mixing in on passing downs.
