Sean Tucker Fantasy Football News | Shark Bites

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

Buccaneers RB Bucky Irving (hip, back) is listed as questionable for this weekend’s game vs. the Raiders. He only got in a limited practice on Friday. We should get an update on Irving by Sunday morning and will have Tampa Bay’s inactives by 11:30 am. If he ends up missing this one, Rachaad White would be a borderline RB1 and Sean Tucker at least a RB3 or Flex option.

Buccaneers RB Bucky Irving (hip, back) remained sidelined for Thursday's practice. He played through these injuries last week but isn't guaranteed to play vs. Las Vegas on Sunday. Irving's absence would leave Tampa's backfield to Rachaad White and Sean Tucker. We'll update Irving's status again by Friday afternoon.

Buccaneers RB Bucky Irving (hip, back) did not practice on Wednesday. He played into overtime last week, so we're not expecting these issues to keep him out for Sunday's game vs. the Raiders. If they did, though, RB Rachaad White would become a must-start, and RB Sean Tucker would become a viable RB3 or Flex. We'll update Irving's status again on Thursday.

Buccaneers RB Bucky Irving ran the ball 25 times for 152 yards and a TD. He also caught three passes for 33 yards. All of this despite a hip injury at the end of the first half that left him questionable to return. He did return and dominated the Panthers.

Buccaneers RBs Bucky Irving, Rachaad White and Sean Tucker along with QB Baker Mayfield all scored a rushing TD against the Giants. Irving ended with 12 carries for 87 yards and caught all six of his targets for 64 yards. White ran the ball 12 times for 37 yards as well as catching his lone target for 10 yards. Tucker scored the first TD of the day with four carries for three yards.

Bucs RB Bucky Irving (toe) is listed as questionable for Monday night's game vs. the Chiefs. He only got in a limited practice on Saturday. HC Todd Bowles said earlier this week that this is an injury Irving will need to manage all season. He played -- and played well -- in spite of the injury last week. We're expecting Irving to play on Monday, but that late kickoff makes it a trickier situation for fantasy managers. If you're hoping to start Irving, you'd ideally have RB Sean Tucker rostered as insurance.

Bucs HC Todd Bowles said Friday that RB Bucky Irving (toe) is expected to play vs. the Falcons this weekend, barring a setback. Irving returned to practice on Friday after missing the previous two days. The foot injury adds some risk to his Week 8 fantasy profile, but Irving is still in the RB3 mix with Tampa Bay missing WRs Chris Godwin and Mike Evans.

Bucs RB Bucky Irving (toe) missed practice again on Thursday. SI Now's JC Allen reports that the Bucs are expecting to be without Irving for Sunday's game vs. the Falcons. His absence would turn a three-man committee into a two-man committee with Rachaad White and Sean Tucker. In that case, White would be a more comfortable fantasy starter, while Tucker would be a RB3 or Flex option. We'll see how Irving is listed on the final injury report tomorrow.

Bucs WR Mike Evans is expected to miss the next three games with his hamstring injury, HC Todd Bowles said. Tampa Bay gets the Falcons, Chiefs, and 49ers the next three weeks before a Week 11 bye. It sounds like Evans has a good chance to be back for Week 12.

Bucs RB Rachaad White (foot) is active for tonight’s game vs. the Ravens. We’ll get our first look at what this three-man backfield will look like after RB Sean Tucker’s big Week 6. The entire backfield has a brutal matchup against Baltimore’s fifth-ranked RB defense. See how we project the backfield tonight.

Bucs RB Rachaad White (foot) is listed as questionable for Monday night's game vs. the Ravens. He practiced all week, including a full workout on Saturday, so he seems likely to play. Tampa Bay's coaching staff said multiple times this week that White, Bucky Irving, and Sean Tucker will all be involved going forward. "They’re gonna get reps, and at the end of the day, whoever’s giving us the best opportunity to win throughout that game will probably get the majority of the carries," OC Liam Coen said Friday. It's a nightmare scenario for fantasy managers. And the situation is made worse this week by the matchup against Baltimore's 5th-ranked RB defense. It'd be nice to avoid this backfield in Week 7 fantasy lineups if possible.

Bucs RB Rachaad White (foot) got in a limited practice on Thursday. He was limited in the first practice last week before missing the final two and then the Saints game. We'll see how he progresses over the next few days. HC Todd Bowles said Thursday that White, Bucky Irving, and Sean Tucker will all play when healthy. "As the game goes, we’ll go with the hot hand and see who’s running what style and how it fits the game, and go with that guy," Bowles added. This will be a tough backfield to project when White returns.

Buccaneers RB Sean Tucker had 53 total yards for his young NFL career before Sunday's game. But then he racked up a 14-136-1 rushing line and 3-56-1 receiving in the offensive explosion against the Saints. What's that mean for when RB Rachaad White returns from injury? HC Todd Bowles says the second-year back has earned a spot in the rotation.

Buccaneers RBs Bucky Irving and Sean Tucker split backfield work with Rachaad White out vs. the Saints in Week 6. They ran all over New Orleans for 217 yards and two TDs on 28 carries (7.8 YPC). They carried 14 times apiece, with Tucker out-gaining Irving 136 to 81. Tucker also had the better receiving line: 3-56-1 to 2-24-0. Irving got the start, but Tucker mixed in early and often. It was clear from the start that the Bucs were not going to lean on Irving in a feature role. And Tucker certainly earned his touches with a strong performance.

Buccaneers RB Chase Edmonds is having an MRI today on an MCL injury that knocked him out of Sunday's win over the Bears. Edmonds missing further time could only help rookie RB Sean Tucker, who already edged the vet in Week 1 playing time. Ke'Shawn Vaughn would likely find a role with Edmonds out as well. Rachaad White remained the clear lead back in Week 2.

Buccaneers RB Rachaad White tallied 73 yards and a TD on 17 carries (4.3 per rush) in Sunday's win over the Bears. He added 5 receptions for 30 yards on 5 targets. White claimed 22 of 32 total RB opportunities for the Bucs (68.8%) and accounted for 84.4% of total RB yards in the game. Sean Tucker ranked second with 8 carries but managed just 7 yards. Chase Edmonds carried twice for 12 yards. White's role is the biggest thing going for him right now, but his Week 2 production was encouraging. Tampa Bay hosts Philly and then visits New Orleans before a Week 5 bye.

Bucs RB Rachaad White wasn’t productive in a Week 1 win over Minnesota, totaling only 49 yards. Yet his workload — 19 touches —should have fantasy owners encouraged. Backup Sean Tucker saw only 7 touches, while Chase Edmonds mixed in for just 2. White draws an improved Bears front seven in Week 2, but he'll likely stick on the RB2 radar.

Per Bucs reporter JC Allen, RB Sean Tucker will open the season as the backup to Rachaad White. This was the expectation based on recent practice reports. White remains an RB2 fantasy target, while Tucker slides in as a late-round handcuff.
