Week 10 FanDuel Cash-Game Picks

QB

Justin Fields, Bears ($8,300) vs. Lions

He’s only $200 cheaper than Patrick Mahomes, so I get it if you want to spend up a little for added safety. Mahomes does sit #1 in our QB $/point rankings.

But Fields is playing one of our favorite defenses to target — Detroit — coming off a season-high 42 fantasy points. He’s now hit 22+ in 4 straight.

With increased designed runs and a larger snap share likely for Chase Claypool, Fields is poised for another strong outing.

RB

Travis Etienne, Jaguars ($8,000) at Chiefs

Etienne enters this one with an eye-popping 57 touches over the past 2 weeks. That stretch includes outings of 23.7 and 25.6 fantasy points.

Now, Jacksonville hits the road as 9.5-point underdogs. A blowout loss is within the range of potential outcomes. But Etienne’s receiving potential helps alleviate some of that risk.

The Chiefs look favorable for ground-game production, regardless. They rank 25th in PFF’s run D grades; 20th in Football Outsiders’ run DVOA.

Jonathan Taylor, Colts ($7,000) at Raiders

After putting in a full practice on Thursday, I’m expecting Taylor to suit up in Vegas. He’s certainly on the risky side given his past troubles with the ankle. But c’mon — it’s an elite talent priced at only $7K. Plus, backup RB Deon Jackson (knee) appears iffy to play after missing practice Wednesday and Thursday.

There’s nothing wrong with the matchup, either. The Raiders just lost LB Blake Martinez to retirement. They enter the weekend sitting 26th in adjusted fantasy points allowed to RBs.

Devin Singletary ($5,600) will supply a cost-saving option if Josh Allen (elbow) is sidelined. The RB would figure to see a larger red zone role without Allen’s legs factoring in. Buffalo’s still implied for a decent 23.5 points, as of Friday afternoon.

WR

Tyreek Hill, Dolphins ($9,000) vs. Browns

Hill is the most expensive WR on the board this week. Yet he still ranks 1st in our $/point rankings for a home matchup with Cleveland.

Sure, the Browns will get Denzel Ward back from a concussion in this one. But it's hard to see anyone halting Hill’s historic run. He’s racked up 76-1,104-3 in 9 games, a stretch that includes 331 yards over his past 2.

Amon-Ra St. Brown, Lions ($6,900) at Bears

I know the results haven’t been there lately. But St. Brown remains a strong option at a lowered price — especially with the Lions so thin at pass-catcher.

D.J. Chark is out. Josh Reynolds is likely out. And T.J. Hockenson, of course, is now a Viking.

Rookie Jameson Williams remains sidelined, too.

In 5 healthy games, St. Brown is averaging 10.4 targets. That’ll afford plenty of upside against a Bears squad sitting 22nd in PFF’s coverage grades.

George Pickens, Steelers ($5,600) vs. Saints

Pickens is priced as if Chase Claypool is still a teammate.

Of course, he’s not.

With Claypool out of the way, I fully expect the rookie to see a more consistent role. Taking Claypool out of the equation removes ~6.5 targets per game.

As a bonus: Pickens gets to face a Saints defense that's expected to remain without top CB Marshon Lattimore.

Justin Jefferson ($8,600) is reasonably priced against a banged up Bills defense. I’d prefer to use him if Josh Allen is active, though. JuJu Smith-Schuster ($7,000) looks appealing, too, especially if Mecole Hardman is sidelined.

TE

Foster Moreau, Raiders ($5,200) vs. Colts

This one’s about the value. You just can't find many TEs with Moreau's target outlook at 5.2K.

That volume was solidified recently, as the Raiders placed Hunter Renfrow and Darren Waller on IR, ensuring another full-time role for Moreau.

Most recently — Week 9 — the young TE ran a route on 88% of Derek Carr’s drop-backs. An elite level. He’s now seen 5+ targets in 4 straight.

DEF

Steelers ($3,600) vs. Saints

Pittsburgh pops up as a top-3 unit in $/point.

One reason why? HC Mike Tomlin indicated this week that EDGE T.J. Watt has a real shot to return. His presence would be huge for a Steelers squad coming off its bye.

Andy Dalton’s been a QB to target for opposing defenses. Outings of 1 INT and 4 sacks and 3 INTs (including two pick-6s) sandwich a clean Week 8.

The Saints might welcome Jarvis Landry back from an ankle injury, but he’s not a needle-mover.
