Chargers TE Oronde Gadsden didn't have as big a fantasy outing in Thursday night's win over the Vikings as he did in the Week 7 loss to the Colts. But he was still plenty productive, hauling in all five of his targets for 77 yards and a score. That came on a night when QB Justin Herbert only threw it 25 times in an easy win. Gadsden's five targets tied for second on the team and were a 20% share. That was actually a bigger share than the 16.4% he saw in his huge Week 7. And Gadsden set a new season high with a 94% route rate vs. Minnesota. That's a truly elite mark for a TE. Trey McBride led all TEs last year with a 91% route rate, reaching 94% in six of 16 games.
2025 Fantasy Football Impact
The arrow continues to point straight up for Gadsden. He's racked up 22 targets, 19 catches, 309 yards, and two TDs over his last three games. And his role -- both in terms of playing time and target share -- continues to grow.
There will still be games when he's overshadowed by Los Angeles' talented trio of WRs. But Gadsden is capable of ranking third or even second on this team in targets the rest of the way.
It's worth noting that the Chargers have the fifth-toughest TE schedule from Weeks 9 through 17. But Gadsden still looks like a top-12 fantasy TE going forward, with upside into the top eight.
