Eagles TE Dallas Goedert scored another two TDs in Sunday's win over the Giants, finding the end zone from 6 yards and 17 yards out. It marked the fifth time among his past six games that Goedert scored at least once. He has scored seven times over that span, two TDs more than his previous high for a full season (set in 2019).
What They're Saying
CBS' Jacob Gibbs on X, ahead of Sunday's game: "Dallas Goedert splits with A.J. Brown off the field are absolutely nuts. 3.16 yards per route run on 175 routes!!"
2025 Fantasy Football Impact
Goedert made for a fairly easy Week 8 play with Brown out, and he paid off. But those two TDs came among just 3 receptions for 28 yards, on three targets.
QB Jalen Hurts attempted a season-low 20 passes -- in a game the Eagles won easily -- which obviously limited everyone's volume. Only WR DeVonta Smith (nine) and RB Saquon Barkley (five) garnered more targets than Goedert. But the tight end saw a mere 15% share.
This six-game span that has found Goedert scoring all those touchdowns has also found him exceeding 3 receptions just twice, and 4 receptions once. He has also exceeded 44 receiving yards in a game just once this season and has only reached 40 yards once since Week 1.
Goedert's averaging 5.2 PPR points per game over expectation for the season, just 0.1 behind George Kittle's position-leading number -- and 1.0 ahead of anyone else.
That clearly leaves room for regression the rest of the way.
Goedert's not a "must" sell as an important red-zone piece for an offense that should score plenty the rest of the way. But he's a potential sell if the opportunity arises.
Philly's Week 9 bye might make this a tough time for such a move.
Dynasty Impact
Goedert sits much closer to must-sell territory in dynasty. He'll turn 31 in early January and is in the final year of his contract with the Eagles.
Especially if you're not contending, you should shop the Philly tight end hard.
