Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.
Packers QB Aaron Rodgers has been playing through a broken right thumb suffered in Week 5, he told reporters Wednesday. We've known that Rodgers had a thumb injury but didn't know the extent until now. Rodgers downplayed the issue and said the thumb is "feeling better this week," but it's likely played a part in his underwhelming season.
Packers WR Romeo Doubs suffered a high-ankle sprain in Sunday's loss to the Lions, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Doubs is undergoing further testing to get a better idea of how long he'll be out, but Rapoport notes that these tend to be 4-6 week injuries. We're unlikely to see Doubs again until December, so he can be dropped in standard-sized fantasy leagues. Allen Lazard is locked in as Green Bay's #1 WR going forward.
Packers QB Aaron Rodgers completed just 53.5% of his passes and tossed 3 INTs (2 in the red zone) in Sunday's loss at Detroit. He wound up compiling 291 yards on 23-of-43 passing, with 1 TD -- adding 40 rushing yards to salvage a decent fantasy day. But Rodgers struggled in what should have been an easy matchup. That bodes ill for a Week 10 clash with Dallas, which sports a much tougher pass D. WR Allen Lazard drew 10 targets, catching 4 for 87 yards and a TD. No other Packer drew more than 5 looks. TE Josiah Deguara led the team in receptions, catching all 5 of his looks for 41 yards. TE Robert Tonyan caught 3 balls for 29 yards among 4 targets. No other Packer caught more than 2 passes.
Packers QB Aaron Rodgers entered the 4th quarter with just 74 passing yards in Sunday night's loss to the Bills, but added 129 and a TD to his totals in that quarter alone. Green Bay went run-heavy through most of the game, falling behind by 17. Rodgers then led that 4th-quarter scoring drive that ended with a 37-yard TD to rookie WR Samari Toure. Rodgers found rookie WR Romeo Doubs for an impressive catch in the end zone earlier in the game. TE Robert Tonyan led the Packers with 5 catches, totaling 35 yards. Green Bay gets a much more favorable matchup at Detroit in Week 9.
Packers QB Aaron Rodgers managed only 194 yards on 23-of-35 passing in Sunday's loss to the Commanders. He found RB Aaron Jones for the team's only 2 offensive TDs. WR Allen Lazard was the only other Packer to catch more than 3 passes, before leaving with a shoulder injury. TE Robert Tonyan contributed 3-32 receiving on 4 targets. WR Sammy Watkins returned from IR (hamstring) to catch 2 passes for 36 yards among 4 targets. Rookie Romeo Doubs went catchless on 4 targets. Doubs finished as the clear playing-time leader, with Lazard leaving early and the team missing WRs Randall Cobb and Christian Watson. No member of this pass offense looks attractive for a Week 8 visit to Buffalo.
Packers QB Aaron Rodgers (thumb) is not listed on the final Week 7 injury report. He was out on Wednesday, a full-go on Thursday and then limited on Friday. That’s a bit different than last week, when he went no practice, full, full. Rodgers will start Sunday’s game vs. the Commanders, but it’s possible that the thumb is an issue.
Packers QB Aaron Rodgers (thumb) returned to a full practice on Thursday. He'll play vs. the Commanders this weekend, but it's unclear if that thumb will be an issue. He completed just 63% of his passes for 6.0 yards per attempt vs. the Jets last week.
Packers QB Aaron Rodgers (thumb) did not practice on Wednesday. He played through this issue last week but managed just 6.0 yards per attempt and 1 TD against the Jets. It looks like the thumb might still be an issue vs. the Commanders this weekend.
Packers QB Aaron Rodgers struggled mightily in Week 6, posting 246 yards and 1 TD on 41 attempts. He tied a season-high with 4 sacks against a Jets team that entered with only 10 in 5 games. After the loss, Rodgers shared a desire to simplify the offense. Something has to change, as he enters Week 7 as the QB18. The Washington matchup is a positive one, but it's tough to put QB1-level faith in Rodgers right now.
Packers QB Aaron Rodgers (thumb) isn’t listed on the final Week 6 injury report. He was held out on Wednesday but put in full practices on Thursday and Friday. We’re not expecting the right thumb to be an issue vs. the Jets this weekend.
Packers QB Aaron Rodgers (thumb) returned to a full practice on Thursday. He had a wrap on that throwing thumb, but there's been nothing to suggest at this point that it'll be an issue vs. the Jets this weekend. We'll continue to keep an eye on the situation.
Packers QB Aaron Rodgers did not practice on Wednesday due to a thumb injury. “We don't have much concern as far as gameday," HC Matt LaFleur said. We'll keep an eye on the situation, but it sounds like Rodgers will be available for this weekend's game vs. the Jets.
Packers QB Aaron Rodgers completed 27 of 35 passes for 255 yards, 2 TDs and 1 INT in Sunday’s win over Tampa Bay. The pick marked Rodgers’ first since Week 10 of last season. He was on-point otherwise, despite playing with a shorthanded WR corps. He hit Romeo Doubs and Allen Lazard for quick-strike scores near the goal line on a day that produced only 2.8 yards per carry. Entering Monday Night Football, Rodgers is just the QB23 in fantasy scoring. Next up is a home date with the Patriots.
