A.J. Brown Fantasy Football News | Shark Bites

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

Eagles WR A.J. Brown (knee) is listed as a limited participant on Wednesday's practice report. It's too soon to tell how this will affect his status for Week 17 vs. the Saints. Track this storyline as the week unfolds.

Eagles QB Gardner Minshew racked up 355 yards and 2 TDs in Saturday's loss at Dallas. Both of his TDs went to WR DeVonta Smith, who led the team with 12 targets, 8 catches and 113 yards. WR A.J. Brown added 6-103 receiving on 8 targets. RB Kenneth Gainwell (4-41) and TE Dallas Goedert (3-67) were the other Eagles with multiple catches. Minshew will be worth a look for Week 17 fantasy football lineups in a neutral scoring matchup with the Saints, if QB Jalen Hurts (shoulder) remains out.

Eagles HC Nick Sirianni isn't ready to rule out QB Jalen Hurts (shoulder) for Saturday's game vs. the Cowboys. "There’s a chance he could play this week," Sirianni said. "He’s one of the toughest guys I know. His body is not like yours or mine. He heals fast. I will not rule him out. I will not put a timetable on him. We’ll see what happens." We're still not expecting Hurts to play this weekend. And neither are the oddsmakers, considering the Eagles are 5.5-point underdogs as of Tuesday afternoon. We'll continue to keep a close eye on the situation, but Hurts owners should be lining up an alternative for Week 16.

WRs A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith dominated Eagles receiving in Sunday's narrow win over the Bears. Brown led the team in targets (16), receptions (9) and yards (181). Smith added a 5-126 line on 8 targets. WR Quez Watkins was the only other Eagle to exceed 2 looks, catching 4 of his 6 for a mere 6 yards.

Eagles TE Dallas Goedert (shoulder) was not activated on Saturday afternoon and won't play vs. the Bears tomorrow. He returned to practice this week and should tentatively be expected to return for Week 16. WRs A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith should continue to dominate targets against Chicago.

Eagles WR DeVonta Smith led the team in targets (8) and receptions (5) in Sunday's win over the Giants. He generated 64 yards and a TD, scoring from 41 yards out on a 4th-down play in the 1st half. WR A.J. Brown trailed him with a 4-70-1 line on 6 looks, staging QB Jalen Hurts' only other scoring throw. Philly gets a high-ceiling matchup with a bad Bears defense in Week 15.

Eagles WR A.J. Brown caught 8 balls for 119 yards and 2 TDs in Sunday's beatdown of the team that traded him in April. Brown led the team with 10 targets, notching scores from 40 and 29 yards out. His longer TD came a play after Brown appeared to score from the same distance but just missed getting a 2nd foot down inbounds. WR DeVonta Smith added 5-102-1 receiving, averaging 20.4 yards per catch. Philly's WRs face another soft secondary in their Week 14 matchup with the Giants.

Eagles WR DeVonta Smith led the team in targets (9), receptions (6) and receiving yards (78) in Sunday's win over the Colts. WR A.J. Brown followed not far behind with 5 catches for 60 yards among 7 targets. No other Eagle exceeded 2 targets in the 1st game since TE Dallas Goedert (shoulder) landed on IR. WR Quez Watkins caught the team's only TD pass among 2 catches for 31 yards.

Eagles WRs A.J. Brown (ankle) and DeVonta Smith (knee) are off the final Week 11 injury report. Both guys were limited on Wednesday and Thursday but put in full practices on Friday. They should be ready for their usual roles vs. the Colts this weekend.

Eagles WRs A.J. Brown (ankle) and DeVonta Smith (knee) remained limited in Thursday's practice. Neither guys appears in danger of missing this weekend's game vs. the Colts, but check back tomorrow for Philly's final injury report.

Eagles WR A.J. Brown (ankle) was limited in Wednesday's practice. He tweaked that ankle in Monday night's loss to Washington but was able he return. We'll keep an eye on Brown over the next few days, but he should be ready for this weekend's game vs. the Colts. WR DeVonta Smith (knee) was also limited on Wednesday.

Eagles WR A.J. Brown scored for the 3rd straight game in Thursday’s win over Houston. He gained several yards of separation on a beautiful corner route in the end zone. The former Titan added just 4 grabs for 59 yards. But it’s worth noting that Jalen Hurts attempted only 27 passes, while Brown’s target share wasn’t exactly minuscule at 22.2%. On pace for over 1,500 yards, Brown’s status as a fantasy WR1 remains firm.

Eagles WR A.J. Brown racked up 156 yards and 3 TDs on 6 catches in Sunday's 35-13 beatdown of the Steelers. His 11 targets led the team but put Brown just 3 ahead of WR DeVonta Smith, who caught 5 passes for 23 yards. TE Dallas Goedert added 6-64 receiving on 6 looks. No other Eagle topped 2 targets. Philly heads to Houston for another positive matchup Thursday night.

Eagles QB Jalen Hurts attempted just 25 passes in Sunday night's win over the Cowboys, completing 15 (60%) for 155 yards and a pair of TDs. He found A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith for the scores. Each wideout caught 5 balls for the game, with Brown tallying 67 yards and Smith 44. TE Dallas Goedert was the only other Eagle to see multiple targets, catching just 2 of his 5 for 22 yards.

Eagles WR A.J. Brown led the team with 95 yards on 5 catches in Sunday's win over the Jaguars. He accounted for 46.6% of QB Jalen Hurts' passing yardage in the contest, while drawing 28% of Hurts' passion attempts. WR DeVonta Smith followed a monster Week 3 by going quiet: 3 catches, 17 yards on 4 targets. TE Dallas Goedert finished 2nd on the team with 6 targets, catching 5 for 72 yards. Miles Sanders (2) and Kenneth Gainwell (1) accounted for the team's only other pass completions.

Eagles WR DeVonta Smith led the team in targets (12), receptions (8) and receiving yards (169) in Sunday's win over the Commanders. He grabbed 1 of Jalen Hurts' 3 TD passes, leaving 1 apiece for WR A.J. Brown and TE Dallas Goedert. Brown checked in 2nd in the other 3 categories, tallying a 5-85-1 receiving line on 10 targets. Goedert managed just 3-26-1 on 4 looks in a game he left briefly with a shin issue. Smith looks like he'll reside much closer to Brown in target share than the opener in Detroit suggested.

Eagles WR A.J. Brown still led the team in targets in Week 2, but his 8 looks merely beat WR DeVonta Smith by 1 and TE Dallas Goedert by 2. Brown caught 5 balls for 69 yards in the easy win over Minnesota. Smith caught all 7 of his targets for 80 yards, while Goedert supplied 5 receptions for a team-high 82 yards. QB Jalen Hurts spread his other 10 pass attempts among 5 teammates. WR Quez Watkins caught the night's only TD pass, a 53-yarder that was 1 of his 2 receptions on 2 targets. Brown's share marked a predictable fall from the heights of Week 1, but he still garnered 25.8% target share vs. Minnesota.
