A.J. Brown Fantasy Football News | Shark Bites

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

The Titans have placed WR Julio Jones on IR for the hamstring he injured in Friday's practice. That knocks him out for at least the next 3 games, starting with Sunday's matchup with New Orleans. His absence can only help the target outlook for A.J. Brown, who was already dominating on that ront. Nick Westbrook-Ikhine and Chester Rogers were the next 2 WRs in playing time last week against the Rams, with nearly identical snap totals. Marcus Johnson trailed behind them. We also might see more work for a TE group with Geoff Swaim and Anthony Firkser at the front. The hamstring has been a nagging issue for Jones through most of the season. We'll see if this IR stint can shake it and make him a factor by fantasy playoff time.

Titans WR A.J. Brown (knee) is active for tonight’s game vs. the Rams. He was added to the injury report and did not practice on Friday, but we heard this morning that Brown would be “fine” for this game. Get him in fantasy lineups if you waited on him.

Titans WR A.J. Brown (knee) "should be fine" for Sunday night's game vs. the Rams, per NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Brown is listed as questionable after being added to the injury report and sidelined on Friday. We won't get his game status until around 7 pm ET tonight, but it sounds like he can be penciled into fantasy lineups.

Titans WR A.J. Brown (knee) was added to the injury report and did not practice on Friday. He's listed as questionable for Sunday night's game vs. the Rams. We'll look for further updates on his status. The late kickoff could make this a tricky situation for fantasy owners.

Titans RB Derrick Henry suffered a "potentially" season-ending foot injury in yesterday's win over the Colts, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports. "Henry is undergoing an MRI today to determine the full extent of the damage," Schefter adds. We'll update Henry's status as soon as we know more, but this injury obviously has major fantasy implications. Tennessee only has RBs Jeremy McNichols and Dontrell Hilliard behind Henry on the depth chart right now. RB Mekhi Sargent is on the practice squad. None of those guys are fit to handle anywhere close to Henry's volume. The Titans could add a RB before Tuesday's trade deadline. But we'll likely see them shift significantly toward the pass for as long as Henry is sidelined. It's good news for QB Ryan Tannehill and WR A.J. Brown.

Titans WR Julio Jones (hamstring) is out for Sunday's game vs. the Colts. It's unclear if he suffered a setback or if Tennessee has just decided to get that nagging hamstring injury some rest. Regardless, WR A.J. Brown should dominate targets this weekend.

Titans WR A.J. Brown is not listed on the final injury report. He's continued to deal with the after-effects of food poisoning this week but put in a full practice on Friday. We'll keep an eye on him, but Brown should be ready for a full-time role in Sunday's likely shootout vs. the Chiefs.

Titans WR A.J. Brown is still dealing with the effects of a bout of food poisoning from last week. Brown, of course, was added to the injury report last Sunday with an illness and has missed the first 2 practices of this week. “My body is rejecting any food I eat,” Brown wrote on Twitter Thursday. “This sh*t ain’t no joke.” Brown ended up playing 79% of the Titans' offensive snaps in the win over the Bills, posting a 7-91 line on 9 targets. We'll see if he's able to practice on Friday and how he's listed on the final injury report for Sunday's game vs. the Chiefs.

Titans WR A.J. Brown is active for tonight's game vs. the Bills. He was added to the injury report as questionable with an illness on Sunday, but we're not expecting that to be a factor tonight.

The Titans added WR A.J. Brown to the injury report today, calling him questionable with an illness. We’ll see about further details. For now, try to secure an insurance option if you’ve been planning to use Brown

Titans WR A.J. Brown said in a Friday press conference that he expects to remain on a snap count in Monday night's game vs. the Bills. Brown played 64% of the offensive snaps in his return last week -- but was in a route on 89% of pass plays. As long as that latter number stays in that range, Brown is safe to keep in fantasy lineups.

Titans WR A.J. Brown (hamstring) isn’t listed on the final injury report. He practiced all week, including full workouts on Thursday and Friday, so it doesn’t look like we should be concerned about that hamstring.

Titans WR A.J. Brown (hamstring) graduated to a full practice on Thursday. He's on track to return for this weekend's game vs. the Jaguars -- and should dominate targets with WR Julio Jones still out.

Titans WR A.J. Brown (hamstring) returned to a limited practice on Wednesday. WR Julio Jones (hamstring), meanwhile, remained sidelined. So Brown seemingly has a better chance to play vs. the Jaguars this weekend. We'll get another update on both guys tomorrow.

Titans WRs A.J. Brown and Julio Jones are out for Sunday's game vs. the Jets with their hamstring injuries. Neither guy practiced all week, putting their Week 5 statuses in doubt. Tennessee is down to WRs Nick Westbrook-Ikhine, Chester Rogers, Cameron Batson, Josh Reynolds and Racey McMath.

Titans WRs A.J. Brown and Julio Jones missed practice again on Thursday with their hamstring injuries. Fantasy owners should be planning on both guys missing Sunday's game vs. the Jets. That'd obviously be a blow to QB Ryan Tannehill's fantasy outlook.

As expected, Titans WR A.J. Brown (hamstring) did not practice on Wednesday. Fantasy owners shouldn't be planning on having him in Week 4 lineups. But we'll continue to keep an eye on him over the next few days.

Titans WR A.J. Brown "may miss a week or 2" with his hamstring injury, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. It's at least looking like Brown avoided a major injury. But fantasy owners should plan on being without him for Sunday's game vs. the Jets.

Titans WR A.J. Brown is considered "week to week" with the hamstring injury he suffered in Sunday's win over the Colts, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports. So it sounds like fantasy owners should at least plan to be without Brown for Week 4. We'll see about his availability beyond that.

Titans WR A.J. Brown suffered a hamstring injury in the 1st quarter of Sunday's game vs. the Colts. He's officially questionable to return. Stay tuned for updates.

UPDATE: Brown was ruled out at halftime.
