Cole Kmet Fantasy Football News | Shark Bites

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

Bears WR Allen Robinson (hamstring) is inactive for today’s game against the Ravens. Marquise Goodwin and Damiere Byrd figure to serve as Chicago’s #2 and #3 WRs but aren’t fantasy options. WR Darnell Mooney and TE Cole Kmet should pick up extra targets with Robinson out.

Bears WR Allen Robinson (hamstring) is listed as doubtful for Sunday's game against the Ravens after missing practice all week. He obviously needs to be on fantasy benches. Robinson's absence will make a thin Chicago pass-catching corps even thinner. WR Darnell Mooney and TE Cole Kmet should pick up extra targets.

Bears HC Matt Nagy tested positive for COVID. We'll see if he can get cleared in time for Sunday's game vs. the 49ers. OC Bill Lazor has been calling plays for Chicago the past few weeks, so there's not much of a fantasy impact here.

Bears HC Matt Nagy said Wednesday that he anticipates TE Cole Kmet's role growing in 2021. His playing time spiked late in his rookie year, with Kmet registering a 70+% snap rate in each of final 8 games (including playoffs). But the production didn't follow. Kmet averaged just 5 targets, 3.1 catches and 22.5 yards per game over that stretch. There's plenty of room for those numbers to grow this year, especially in Chicago gets better QB play from Justin Fields and/or Andy Dalton.
