De'Vondre Campbell Fantasy Football News | Shark Bites

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

Packers LB De'Vondre Campbell (ankle) is out for Monday night's game against the Raiders. That will leave Isaiah McDuffie to start in his place. McDuffie carries limited upside for IDP leagues. Green Bay also could be missing as many as three secondary starters. CB Jaire Alexander (back) and S Rudy Ford (oblique) are questionable after limited practice participation this week. CB Eric Stokes' questionable tag is more of a positive. He has yet to play this season, coming off mensicus and Lisfranc injuries in November that each required surgeries. If he plays, it'll likely be in a limited role. We'll check on all three DBs Monday. None is worth waiting for in your IDP lineup.

The Packers have ruled LB De'Vondre Campbell (ankle) out for Thursday night's game against the Lions. That will leave Quay Walker as the No. 1 LB for the game and Isaiah McDuffie stepping into the lineup. McDuffie had just two games last season in which he played more than 24% of snaps. He topped out with 12 tackles at 82% in a Week 10 game Campbell missed. You can give McDuffie a look in deep IDP leagues, but he'd be a risky play elsewhere. We'll see about Campbell's status beyond Week 4.

Packers LB De'Vondre Campbell (knee) is active for today's game against the Bears. Further, Green Bay has made LB Krys Barnes a healthy scratch. That supports Campbell returning to a full role.

Packers LB De'Vondre Campbell (knee) has a chance to return Sunday against the Bears. The team has labeled him questionable after 3 limited practices. Campbell has been out since Week 8. We haven't seen any indication yet of how likely the veteran is to play but will be tracking his status up to Sunday's inactives announcement.

Packers LB De'Vondre Campbell managed a limited practice Wednesday, just his 2nd since suffering a Week 8 knee injury. His 1st limited workout came Friday, so this marks an improvement over last week. Campbell missed Wednesday and Thursday before a limited Friday that preceded him missing the loss at Philadelphia. We'll see if he can make it back for this Sunday's game at Chicago.

Packers LB De'Vondre Campbell (knee) is doubtful for Sunday's game against the Eagles. Campbell has been out since suffering the injury in Week 8. Krys Barnes delivered big numbers in place of Campbell last week -- 12 tackles, 1 sack -- but played just 67% of snaps. That's a tough level at which to consistently put up fantasy numbers. And Philadelphia has been a negative scoring matchup for fantasy LBs on the year.

The Packers have ruled LB De'Vondre Campbell out for the 2nd straight game with a knee injury. That should leave rookie LB Isaiah McDuffie as the #2 to rookie LB Quay Walker once again.

The Packers have ruled LB De'Vondre Campbell (knee) out for Sunday's game against the Cowboys. That leaves rookie Quay Walker as the only Green Bay LB worth playing in IDP lineups.

Packers LB De'Vondre Campbell remained out of practice Wednesday with the knee injury that cost him Sunday's game at Detroit. We'll see whether he's able to rebound ahead of this week's home date with the Cowboys. Rookie Quay Walker (100%) and veteran Krys Barnes (40%) led playing time among non-edge Packers LBs in Detroit.

The Packers have ruled LB De'Vondre Campbell (knee) out for Sunday's game against the Lions. DC Joe Barry said earlier in the week that rookie LB Quay Walker would take over play-calling duties if Campbell couldn't go. That should mean full playing time for Walker, who has moved up our Week 9 IDP rankings. EDGE Preston Smith (shoulder, neck) is questionable for the game after being limited in practice all week.

Packers LB De'Vondre Campbell left in the 2nd quarter of Sunday night's game against the Bills with a right-knee injury. He was shown walking to the locker room with ice on the knee but is questionable to return.

Update: Campbell has been ruled out for the game.

Packers rookie LB Quay Walker split 1st-team reps with incumbent Krys Barnes in spring, operating next to De'Vondre Campbell. According to Bill Huber of SI.com's Packer Central, "it's been all Walker" there since training camp began. That's not shocking, given Green Bay chose Walker in Round 1 as the 1st off-ball LB. Huber adds that the Packers haven't run a single snap of "dime" defense in camp, an alignment that includes just 1 LB. Green Bay lined up in that formation 24% of the time last season, so we should certainly expect some this year. But the team might also be looking to keep both Campbell and Walker on the field more than it used 2-LB sets in 2021. That would obviously help Walker's IDP upside. Green Bay extended Campbell this offseason at a rate that clearly indicates the plan to keep him in a 3-down role.

The Packers have agreed to a 5-year deal with LB De'Vondre Campbell worth $50 million, according to Bill Huber of SI.com. Campbell landed in Green Bay last offseason, after Arizona released him, and spent all of 2021 as a full-timer. He should remain a solid-to-strong IDP option for 2022 fantasy football -- though there's a chance he goes over-drafted.

Packers LB De'Vondre Campbell is inactive for today's game against the Lions. It's not surprising after Campbell carried a questionable tag into a game that's meaningless or Green Bay. Expect Krys Barnes and Oren Burks to work as the top 2 non-edge LBs against Detroit.

The Packers have activated LB De'Vondre Campbell off the COVID list. He'll be ready to play Sunday night against the Bears.
