George Kittle Fantasy Football News | Shark Bites

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

49ers TE George Kittle (hamstring) got in a limited practice on Wednesday. That should put him on track to play vs. the Patriots this weekend, but we'll see how Kittle progresses over the next few days. Kittle's return would dent WR Jauan Jennings' upside, although he'll still be in play as a WR3 as long as Deebo Samuel remains out.

49ers HC Kyle Shanahan said Monday that he's hoping to get TE George Kittle (hamstring) back at practice this week. That suggests that Kittle has a chance to play against the Patriots on Sunday. We'll keep you updated on his status throughout the week.

49ers TE George Kittle (hamstring) has been downgraded to out for Sunday's game vs. the Rams. He didn't seem close to playing in this one after experiencing hamstring soreness starting on Thursday. We'll see if he can make it back for Week 4's game against the Patriots. Eric Saubert figures to operate as San Francisco's lead TE tomorrow, but he'd be a desperation fantasy play.

49ers TE George Kittle (hamstring) is listed as doubtful for this weekend’s game vs. the Rams. Kittle showed up on Thursday with a sore hamstring and missed the final two practices of the week. The Niners will be down Kittle, RB Christian McCaffrey, and WR Deebo Samuel on Sunday. They’ll need to lean on RB Jordan Mason and WR Brandon Aiyuk. WR Jauan Jennings should also see a boosted role. TE Eric Saubert looks like the Kittle replacement but would be a desperation fantasy play. The 30-year-old owns 38 career catches.

Niners TE George Kittle missed practice with hamstring tightness Thursday. ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that the TE's status for Sunday's game against the Rams "is in question."

49ers WR Deebo Samuel will miss "a couple of weeks" with a calf injury suffered in Sunday's loss to the Vikings, HC Kyle Shanahan said.

Niners TE George Kittle tallied 7 receptions for 76 yards and a TD in Sunday's loss to the Vikings. He finished second on the team in catches, yards, and targets (8) while benefiting from increased passing volume in a game San Francisco trailed most of the way.

The Steelers and 49ers have a deal on a potential trade and a new contract is in a good place for Aiyuk, the 49ers just need to sign off to get the deal done. The 49ers appear to be waiting on their contract offer to Aiyuk in hopes he will accept.

San Francisco's George Kittle remained one of the most efficient TEs in the NFL last year, despite playing most of the season at 30 years old. He led the position in both yards per route (2.22) and Pro Football Focus receiving grade. Kittle also averaged a career-high and TE-leading 15.7 yards per catch. He finished sixth among TEs in total PPR points and seventh in PPR points per game -- his sixth straight top-seven finish.

49ers TE George Kittle (toe) is not listed on the final injury report for the Super Bowl. He was a full participant in practice on Friday and should be ready for his usual role vs. the Chiefs on Sunday. Kansas City allowed the fifth-fewest receptions to WRs during the regular season but finished mid-pack in catches allowed to TEs. Kittle could be a big part of San Francisco's game plan.

49ers TE George Kittle (toe) got in a limited practice on Wednesday. He's fully expected to play in the Super Bowl this weekend, but we'll keep you updated on his status over the next few days.

49ers HC Kyle Shanahan said Monday that TE George Kittle is "day-to-day" with a toe injury suffered in the NFC Championship. It doesn't sound like he's in danger of missing the Super Bowl in two weeks, but we'll keep you updated on his status. Kittle gets a Chiefs defense that finished the regular season 14th in adjusted fantasy points allowed to TEs.

49ers QB Sam Darnold will start Sunday's regular-season finale vs. the Rams, HC Kyle Shanahan announced Wednesday. QB Brock Purdy will join RB Christian McCaffrey on the sidelines for that one after San Francisco locked up the NFC's No. 1 seed. WR Deebo Samuel, WR Brandon Aiyuk, and TE George Kittle are unlikely to play much, if at all, against the Rams.

49ers QB Brock Purdy went off for 333 yards and 3 TDs in Sunday's win over Tampa Bay. He posted a perfect 158.3 QB rating while spreading scores to Brandon Aiyuk, George Kittle, and Christian McCaffrey. Purdy should make his way onto plenty of championship squads, as long as this offense stays healthy. His rest-of-season schedule only includes one negative matchup – Week 16 vs. Baltimore.

Niners TE George Kittle set season highs in Sunday's loss to the Bengals in targets (11), receptions (9), and receiving yards (149). He drew a target on 35.5% of QB Brock Purdy's pass attempts and accounted for 40.9% of the team's receptions and 40.8% of receiving yardage. Kittle clearly benefited from WR Deebo Samuel missing a second straight game. We'll see about Samuel's status coming out of the Week 9 bye.
