Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.
Bills QB Josh Allen (foot) remained limited in Thursday's practice. All signs continue to point toward him playing vs. the Panthers this weekend, but check back tomorrow for another update.
Bills QB Josh Allen (foot) will be limited in Wednesday's walkthrough, HC Sean McDermott said. It's a good sign that he'll be out there at all this early in the week. Allen seems to be trending toward playing vs. the Panthers on Sunday, but we'll continue to keep a close eye on him.
Bills HC Sean McDermott told the media Monday afternoon that QB Josh Allen has been diagnosed with a foot sprain. He made no mention of a toe injury. McDermott also said that Allen has a "chance" to play vs. the Panthers on Sunday, so it sounds like his availability is in some doubt. QB Mitchell Trubisky is Buffalo's backup. We'll keep you updated on Allen's status all week.
Bills QB Josh Allen is believed to be dealing with a "mild case" of turf toe, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Allen is scheduled for additional testing on Monday. He was able to play through the issue in Tampa Bay and didn't seem too worried about the injury after the loss. It sounds like Allen will be able to play vs. the Panthers this weekend, but we'll keep you updated.
Bills QB Josh Allen will get an MRI on his left foot and ankle on Monday, ESPN's Chris Mortensen reports. Allen appeared to injure that foot late in Sunday's loss to the Bucs. He didn't miss any snaps but looked a bit hobbled. We should get an update on his status on Monday. "The Bills are hopeful but expect Mitchell Trubisky to get some reps in practice," Mortensen adds.
The Bills signed QB Josh Allen to a 6-year extension through the 2027 season, per ESPN’s Chris Mortensen. The deal carries a total value of $258 million and gives Allen more guaranteed cash ($150 million) than Patrick Mahomes ($141 million). It’s only striking because Allen has just 1 season of high-end production to his name. Of course, Buffalo’s all-in on the 25-year-old — and fantasy drafters are, too. He’s coming off the board 2nd among QBs in all FFPC formats.
The forecast for today's Patriots-Bills game calls for a chance of rain and 20 mph sustained winds with gusts over 30. That certainly puts a damper on the passing games. New England figured to go run-heavy anyway, so the bigger impact is on Josh Allen and Co. We'd also avoid both kickers in this game.
Bills WR Cole Beasley, WR John Brown, RB Devin Singletary and TE Dawson Knox are all inactive for today’s game against the Jets. Don’t expect to see much of QB Josh Allen or RB Frank Gore. Top CB Tre’Davious White is also inactive for Buffalo.
The forecast for today's Ravens-Bills game calls for 15-20 mph winds with gusts of 30+. QBs Lamar Jackson and Josh Allen both do a lot of their fantasy damage on the ground, so neither guy is significantly hurt by the weather. We would slightly downgrade WRs John Brown and Marquise Brown with deep passes likely to be impacted.
The forecast for today's Redskins-Bills game calls for winds between 15 and 20 mph with gusts around 30 mph. It won't be as windy as it was last week, but this is still enough to give slight bumps down to the passing and kicking games. Hopefully you were already avoiding Washington's passing game (including Terry McLaurin) in rookie QB Dwayne Haskins' 1st start. QB Josh Allen and WR John Brown remain fine plays on the Buffalo side. We'd try not to use either K in this game.
