Josh Allen Fantasy Football News | Shark Bites

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

Bills QB Josh Allen (elbow) was limited in Wednesday's practice. It's a reminder that he's still not at 100%. But Allen is fully expected to start Sunday's game vs. the Browns and remains a high-end fantasy option.

Bills QB Josh Allen delivered 330 yards, 1 TD and 2 INTs in Sunday’s OT loss to the Vikings. 84 rushing yards put him over the top as a high-end QB1. All in all, his right elbow looked fine in this one, and it didn’t limit his downfield opportunities. Allen went 3 of 6 (with 1 INT and 1 drop) on passes of 20+ air yards. His decision-making failed him at times, though. On the bright side, Allen managed to escape this one without a setback. Week 11 turns up a fine home matchup with Cleveland.

Bills QB Josh Allen (elbow) will start today's game vs. the Vikings, per ESPN's Adam Schefter. It's nice to have confirmation after earlier reports that Allen wasn't on the field for the start of warmups. The Athletic's Joe Buscaglia reports that Allen was under center when Buffalo went to 11-on-11s. Allen carries more risk than usual playing through that elbow injury, but he still belongs in the vast majority of fantasy lineups. DraftKings sports book has Allen's passing yardage prop set at 252.5.

Bills QB Josh Allen (elbow) is officially active for today’s game vs. the Vikings. He got in just a limited practice on Friday and carries elevated risk in Week 10 fantasy lineups. But there’s still plenty of upside here. See where Allen sits in the QB Rankings.

ESPN's Adam Schefter calls Bills QB Josh Allen (elbow) "likely" to start today's game vs. the Vikings. That jibes with NFL Network's Ian Rapoport's Saturday report. "Bills officials spent intensive time this past week leaning on and listening to their doctors and other arm specialists, and the team was reassured that Allen is not at any added risk to make the injury worse if he plays," a source tells Schefter. We'll get Buffalo's inactives around 11:30 am ET, but Allen can be penciled into fantasy lineups for now.

Bills QB Josh Allen (elbow) is "in line" to start Sunday's game vs. the Vikings, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. QB Matt Barkley was not elevated from the practice squad on Saturday, leaving only Allen and QB Case Keenum on the active roster. "Allen is able to grip a football and he did some throwing on Friday. That gave enough confidence to proceed without elevating Matt Barkley from the practice squad," Rapoport adds. Allen certainly carries more risk than usual in Week 10 fantasy lineups, but it'd be tough to bench him unless you for some reason also own Patrick Mahomes or Jalen Hurts. Playing Justin Fields or Tua Tagovailoa over Allen wouldn't be crazy. We just updated our Bills projections.

Bills QB Josh Allen (elbow) is listed as questionable for this weekend's game vs. the Vikings. He put in a limited practice on Friday after missing the previous 2 days. HC Sean McDermott described Allen as "hour-by-hour" on Friday morning, so Allen's status might come down to how that elbow feels on Sunday. We'll continue to look for updates on Allen and will get Buffalo's inactives around 11:30 am ET on Sunday. QB Case Keenum will start if Allen can't.

Bills HC Sean McDermott said in a Friday morning radio appearance that QB Josh Allen (elbow) has not been ruled out for this weekend's game vs. the Vikings. Of course, there's no reason for Buffalo to rule out Allen at this point of the week. McDermott continues to describe Allen as "day-to-day," so we're expecting him to be listed as questionable on the final injury report later today. We're still projecting Allen to miss Sunday's game, but we'll continue to keep you updated on his status.

Bills QB Josh Allen (elbow) missed practice again on Thursday. We're currently projecting Allen to miss Sunday's game vs. the Vikings, leaving QB Case Keenum as Buffalo's starter. We'll see if Allen practices on Friday and then how he's listed on the final injury report.

Bills QB Josh Allen (elbow) won't practice on Wednesday, HC Sean McDermott said. "He's day to day," McDermott added. "And the next question is, 'is he going to play?' We'll see." Although it sounds like Allen avoided a serious injury, he's genuinely questionable for this weekend's game vs. the Vikings.
