Trevor Lawrence Fantasy Football News | Shark Bites

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

Jaguars HC Doug Pederson is turning over play-calling duties to OC Press Taylor, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. "I totally trust Press," Pederson told NFL.com. "We think alike. We've been together for a long time, and he's around Trevor [Lawrence] all the time and knows what Trevor likes." We'd prefer Pederson continue calling plays considering Jacksonville's success last year. But we're ultimately not expecting a significant fantasy impact here. Taylor has worked under Pederson for six NFL seasons.

Jags HC Doug Pederson praised QB Trevor Lawrence in a recent interview. "I'll tell you what, he's throwing the ball the best I've seen him in the year and a half I've been with Trevor," Pederson said on SiriusXM NFL Radio. "And just really, the sky is the limit with this guy. And if we just continue to improve and just really keep those pieces around him healthy, this offense could really take off." Our QB rankings page turn up career-best numbers for Lawrence. He’s fairly priced with an ADP around QB8.

The NFL announced Monday that it has reinstated Jaguars WR Calvin Ridley. The 28-year-old hasn't played since Week 7 of 2021. Ridley initially left the team for personal reasons. The league then suspended him for all of 2022 after revealing that Ridley had placed football bets while he was away from the Falcons. Jacksonville acquired the wideout last November for a fifth-round 2023 NFL Draft pick and a conditional fourth-rounder for 2024. (That can become a third- or second-round pick.) The Jaguars now add Ridley to an offense that got quality fantasy football output from WR Christian Kirk, WR Zay Jones, and TE Evan Engram in 2022. Projecting the 2023 target shares will be a challenge, but each remains an upside player. Ridley's best ball ADP has been all over the place this early draft season. He has climbed as high as WR16 in Underdog drafts and currently sits 20th there, four WR spots ahead of Kirk. FFPC drafters, meanwhile, have Ridley 29th among WRs -- two spots behind Kirk. The two also sit close together on other draft sites. Keep the ADP variations in mind as you decide both whether and where to draft each Jaguars wideout. The collective talent can only help QB Trevor Lawrence, who's going eighth at the position in FFPC drafts right now.

Jags QB Trevor Lawrence completed 24 of 39 passes for 217 yards, 1 TD and 1 INT in Saturday’s loss at Kansas City. Lawrence was up and down in this one, throwing a couple of passes (beyond the 1 INT) that should have been intercepted. However, this game could have turned out differently had Christian Kirk hauled in a beautifully thrown deep ball. Overall, Lawrence took a massive step forward in year 2. Future growth isn’t out of the question with newfound coaching stability — plus the impending arrival of Calvin Ridley.

Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence (toe) is active for today’s Divisional Round game vs. the Chiefs. He was limited in practice all week but shouldn’t be inhibited today. Lawrence posted a 259-2-0 passing line in Kansas City back in Week 10. The Chiefs finished the regular season 31st in adjusted fantasy points allowed to QBs.

Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence (toe) practiced in a limited fashion all week and is officially questionable for Saturday's Divisional Round game vs. the Chiefs. This trend of Lawrence being questionable with his toe issue is nothing new and shouldn't prevent him from suiting up this weekend. The Chiefs' defense ranks as the 2nd-best matchup in adjusted fantasy points allowed to QBs. It's a good spot for Lawrence on paper, but it's hard to get the taste of the 4 INTs that Lawrence threw in the 1st half vs. the Chargers last week out of our mouths. We're not as keen on the second-year signal caller as a result.

Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence (toe) was a limited participant in practice again on Wednesday. We expect Lawrence to suit up for Saturday's Divisional Round game vs. the Chiefs barring any unforeseen change. We'll update his status again tomorrow.

Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence (toe) logged limited participation on Tuesday ahead of Saturday's Divisional Round matchup vs. the Jaguars. The second-year QB has practiced lightly over the last several weeks with this injury without ultimately missing a game. We expect the same for Saturday. We'll keep an eye on this in case something changes.

Jags QB Trevor Lawrence rebounded from 4 first-half INTs to post 288 yards and 4 TDs against Los Angeles. His scores went to Evan Engram, Christian Kirk, Zay Jones and Marvin Jones. In a true stunner, Jacksonville climbed out of a 27-0 hole, taking its only lead on Riley Patterson’s game-winning FG. Assuming the Bills and Bengals pick up wins today, Lawrence will travel to Kansas City next week. The Chiefs held him to 259-2 on 40 attempts back in Week 10.

Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence (toe) is active for tonight's game against the Chargers, as expected. Lawrence has carried "questionable" labels since sustaining the injury at Detroit in Week 13. He has yet to miss game time for it, though. WR Jamal Agnew (shoulder) is also active.

Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence (toe) practiced in a limited capacity all week and is listed as questionable for Saturday's Wild Card game vs. the Chargers. The second-year QB has dealt with this ailment for some time without missing a game. We expect Lawrence to suit up barring a last-minute surprise. Lawrence hasn’t cracked 230 yards since Week 14 vs. the Titans. The Chargers' defense he's staring down this weekend ranks 10th in Football Outsiders' pass defense DVOA and 13th-toughest in adjusted fantasy points allowed to QBs. He's a middle of the pack QB consideration for playoff fantasy formats this week.

Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence (toe) practiced in a limited fashion again on Wednesday. We don't anticipate this injury preventing him from playing in Saturday's Wild Card game vs. the Chargers. Check back tomorrow for further information.

Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence (toe) logged limited participation on Tuesday in advance of Saturday's Wild Card game vs. the Chargers. This is an injury Lawrence has played through for several weeks. We don't anticipate that this will prevent him from playing this weekend. We'll monitor this one just in case.

Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence (toe) is active for tonight’s game vs. the Titans. He remained limited in practice this week but shouldn’t be inhibited in this win-and-in game. Lawrence smoked Tennessee for 368 yards and 3 TDs back in Week 14.

Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence (toe) logged limited practice again on Thursday and is listed as questionable for Week 18 vs. the Titans. The second-year QB has yet to miss a game due to this lingering issue. We feel good about his ability to suit up for Saturday's contest. The winner of this game secures the AFC South crown, so the stakes are high enough that all the starters will play significant snaps. The Titans rank as the 5th-best matchup in adjusted fantasy points allowed to QBs this season. Additionally, Lawrence tossed nearly 400 yards and 3 TDs against the Titans back in Week 14. We know he's capable of lighting up the scoreboard in this spot. Fantasy managers should feel great running Lawrence out there as a high-end QB1 in lineups.

Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence (toe) did not practice on Tuesday. He, of course, has been playing through this injury since Week 13 and will be out there for Saturday's game vs. the Titans for the AFC South title.

Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence threw for just 152 yards on 17-of-21 passing in an easy win over the Texans Sunday. He threw 1 INT vs. no TDs in a game that saw Jacksonville attempt as many runs (29) as passes. C.J. Beathard took over late in the 3rd quarter. Lawrence closes the regular season with a pass-funnel matchup in the Titans in Week 18.

Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence was pulled late in the 3rd quarter of Sunday's game vs. the Texans. Jacksonville is up 28-3 and will now look ahead to next weekend's game vs. the Titans for the AFC South title. Lawrence played fine but came away with an empty 152-0-1 passing line. QB C.J. Beathard replaced Lawrence.

Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence (toe) is active for today’s game vs. the Texans. He’s been playing – and playing well – through this toe injury for a few weeks. ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported this morning that the Jags won’t be resting starters in this one. Lawrence is safe to get into Week 17 fantasy lineups.
