Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.
Ravens QB Tyler Huntley threw for just 138 yards in Saturday's loss to the Browns. He completed 17 of 30 passes (56.7%), with 0 TDs and 1 INT. No Baltimore player exceeded 31 receiving yards, with WR Demarcus Robinson the only Raven catching more than 3 passes. We'll see about Lamar Jackson's status for a Week 16 matchup with the Falcons.
Ravens QB Lamar Jackson (knee) is out for Saturday's game vs. the Browns. QB Tyler Huntley (concussion) isn't listed on the final injury report and is expected to start that one. That's good news for the offense in general -- and specifically TE Mark Andrews -- but Huntley is only a recommended play in 2-QB and Superflex leagues.
Ravens QB Lamar Jackson (knee) remained sidelined on Wednesday, but QB Tyler Huntley (concussion) was listed as a full participant. So it looks like Huntley is on track to be cleared for Saturday's game vs. the Browns. He's a downgrade from Jackson -- but an upgrade from 3rd-stringer Anthony Brown. Huntley's presence would be especially good news for TE Mark Andrews.
Ravens QB Lamar Jackson (knee) did not practice on Tuesday. ESPN's Adam Schefter reported Sunday that Jackson's "most realistic return date" is Week 16, so we're not expecting him to play vs. the Browns on Saturday. QB Tyler Huntley (concussion) got in a limited practice on Tuesday, which gives him a shot to be cleared by Saturday. We'll update Baltimore's QB situation again tomorrow.
Ravens QB Tyler Huntley left in the 3rd quarter of Sunday's game vs. the Steelers for a concussion check. He's been replaced by QB Anthony Brown. Stay tuned for an update on Huntley.
Update: Huntley has been ruled out with a concussion.
Ravens QB Lamar Jackson (knee) is inactive for today’s game vs. the Steelers. It sounds like Week 16 is most likely when we’ll see Jackson again. QB Tyler Huntley gets the start today.
Although the Ravens are hoping to get QB Lamar Jackson back for Week 15, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that his "most realistic return date" will be in Week 16 against the Falcons. He adds that there's also "a strong chance" the QB will not get back to full strength again this season because of his PCL sprain. That means a lot of fantasy football managers should be looking elsewhere for a starting QB the rest of the way, even if/when Jackson makes it back. He currently sits just 10th in points per game in common formats, with big totals in weeks 2 and 3 inflating even that. Outside of those contests, Jackson's scoring average for healthy games would rank just 14th at the position.
Ravens QB Lamar Jackson (knee) did not practice all week and is listed as doubtful for Sunday's game vs. the Steelers. The team is evidently still holding out hope that Jackson will show enough improvement over the next 48 hours to play, but it's a big long shot. QB Tyler Huntley figures to get the start.
Ravens QB Lamar Jackson (knee) did not practice on Wednesday, as expected. He's slated to miss 1-3 weeks with his PCL sprain. QB Tyler Huntley will start this weekend's game vs. the Steelers. We'll see if Jackson can make it back for Week 15.
Speaking about the status of QB Lamar Jackson's knee on Monday, Ravens HC John Harbaugh said: "I would say it's kind of week to week. It's probably less likely for this week, but it's not impossible." We'd bet on Jackson missing Sunday's game against the Steelers, leaving QB Tyler Huntley to start. Baltimore also added QB Brett Huntley on Monday. We'll certainly be watching for updates on Jackson's status.
Fill-in QB Tyler Huntley led the Ravens with 41 rushing yards on 10 carries in Sunday's win over the Broncos. RB Kenyan Drake followed with just 29 yards on 7 attempts (4.1 per carry). Then came Gus Edwards (6-12, 2.0) and Justice Hill (1-2). Next comes a visit to Pittsburgh. We'll see whether RB J.K. Dobbins (knee) is ready to return -- as well as how much longer QB Lamar Jackson will remain out.
Ravens HC John Harbaugh said after Sunday's win over the Broncos that QB Lamar Jackson's knee injury is not season ending. "It's gonna be a number of days or weeks," Harbaugh added. Jackson is scheduled for additional testing on Monday, so we should learn more about his situation then. QB Tyler Huntley will take over for Baltimore for however long Jackson is out.
Ravens QB Lamar Jackson is questionable to return to Sunday's game vs. the Broncos with a left knee injury. We'll update his status when we know more. QB Tyler Huntley will step in for Jackson.
Update: Jackson has been downgraded to out.
Ravens backup QB Tyler Huntley says that Baltimore's preseason winning streak is no accident. "It means a lot to the culture, just to show that we're a winning team," Huntley said after Thursday night's victory over the Titans, according to ESPN. "And we don't care what kind of game it is, the Ravens are going to fight to get a win." This obviously doesn't matter for the regular-season fantasy outlook of Huntley or any other Raven. But it's relevant if you're plotting out preseason DFS lineups. Baltimore is playing to win (without putting regular-season starters at elevated risk).
Ravens QB Tyler Huntley will start Sunday's game vs. the Steelers, HC John Harbaugh said Friday. QB Lamar Jackson still isn't able to play on that ankle injury. Huntley has finished QB18, QB1 and QB21 in fantasy points in 3 starts this season.
Ravens QB Lamar Jackson (ankle) did not practice on Wednesday. The Ravens haven't been eliminated from the playoffs quite yet, but they're a long shot, so there's little reason to push Jackson when he's not at 100%. Look for QB Tyler Huntley to start vs. the Steelers this weekend.
Ravens QB Lamar Jackson (ankle) is inactive for today’s game vs. the Rams. QB Tyler Huntley gets another start. He led all QBs in fantasy points in his last start back in Week 15 and finished QB18 in his Week 11 start.
Ravens QB Tyler Huntley remains the "likely" starter vs. the Rams today, per NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. QB Lamar Jackson (ankle) hasn't been ruled out yet and might test that ankle in pregame warmups. But all signs point to Huntley getting the nod. We'll get Baltimore's inactives around 11:30 am ET.
