Fantasy Football News & Latest NFL Updates

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

As expected, the Ravens split work pretty evenly between RBs Justice Hill and Gus Edwards in the first game since J.K. Dobbins' Achilles' tendon tear. Hill edged Edwards 11-10 in carries and garnered all 3 RB targets. But Edwards proved more efficient. He averaged 6.2 yards per carry and delivered the team's only rushing score, from 1 yard out in the first quarter. Hill got the only other RB goal-line carry right before that. Hill caught all three of his targets for 12 yards and tallied 41 yards on his 11 carries (3.7 per rush). Expect the pair to continue splitting opportunities. A Week 3 home date with the Colts looks like a neutral rushing matchup.

Raiders WR Davante Adams took a shot to the head in the fourth quarter of Sunday's game vs. the Bills. He went into the blue medical tent and then back to the locker room, presumably to be checked for a concussion. We'll update Adams' status when we know more.

Cardinals S Budda Baker is inactive for today's game against the Giants. He suffered a hamstring injury in Friday's practice. S K'Von Wallace figures to step up after working as the third safety in Week 1.

Bears WR Darnell Mooney suffered a knee injury in the second half of Sunday's game vs. the Bucs and is questionable to return. We'll pass along an update when we get one.

Lions RB David Montgomery suffered a right knee injury in the second half of Sunday's game vs. the Seahawks. He was eventually carted back to the locker room. Stay tuned for an update on Montgomery's status.

Update: Montgomery is officially questionable to return with a thigh injury.

Cowboys WR Brandin Cooks (knee) is inactive for today’s game vs. the Jets. His absence leaves a few extra targets for WR CeeDee Lamb, WR Michael Gallup, and TE Jake Ferguson, among others.

Ravens WR Odell Beckham has been ruled out for the rest of Sunday's game vs. the Bengals with an ankle injury. We'll update his status when we know more. Zay Flowers, Rashod Bateman, and Nelson Agholor will operate as Baltimore's top three WRs the rest of the way.

Giants WR Wan’Dale Robinson (knee) is inactive for today’s game vs. the Cardinals. Darius Slayton, Isaiah Hodgins, and Parris Campbell will again operate as New York’s top three WRs.

Rams RB Cam Akers is a healthy scratch for today's game vs. the 49ers, as Fox Sports' Jay Glazer reported would be the case a few minutes before 1 pm ET this afternoon. RBs Kyren Williams, Ronnie Rivers, and Royce Freeman are active for Los Angeles. Williams figures to handle the majority of the backfield work.

Rams WR Puka Nacua (oblique) is active for today’s game vs. the 49ers. He was added to the injury report and sidelined on Thursday but returned to a limited practice on Friday. We haven’t heard anything about Nacua being limited today. But between the injury and difficult matchup, he’s just a low-end WR3 in our Week 2 rankings.

Jaguars WR Zay Jones suffered a knee injury in the first half of Sunday's game vs. the Chiefs and is questionable to return. We'll pass along an update on his status when we learn more.

Update: Jones returned to the game.

Colts QB Anthony Richardson left in the first half of Sunday's game vs. the Texans to be checked for a concussion. Stay tuned for an update. QB Gardner Minshew is in for the Colts.

Update: Richardson has been ruled out with a concussion. We'll track his progress through the protocol this coming week.

Seahawks WR D.K. Metcalf suffered a rib injury in the first half of Sunday's game vs. the Lions and is questionable to return. We'll update his status when we know more.

Update: Metcalf returned to the game later in the first half

Rams RB Cam Akers will be a healthy scratch for this afternoon's game vs. the 49ers, according to Fox Sports' Jay Glazer. Glazer adds that some teams believe Akers is on the trade block. Hopefully you weren't counting on him in Week 2 fantasy lineups. The news makes RB Kyren Williams easier to trust in fantasy lineups, despite the negative matchup.

Browns WR Amari Cooper (groin) is "considered unlikely" to play vs. the Steelers on Monday night, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports. We'll see if he can make it back for Week 3, but he should be on fantasy benches for this week. Cooper's absence will leave Elijah Moore and Donovan Peoples-Jones as Cleveland's top two WRs -- and give TE David Njoku more target upside.

Packers LB Quay Walker has cleared the concussion protocol and is active for today's game against the Falcons. We have added him back to the Week 2 LB rankings, in LB2 territory for most IDP formats.

Falcons RB Cordarrelle Patterson is inactive for today’s game vs. the Packers. He was left off the final injury report, so this is a healthy scratch. It’s good news for RBs Bijan Robinson and Tyler Allgeier.

Bengals RB Chris Evans (hamstring) is inactive for today’s game vs. the Ravens. RB Chase Brown is active after being a healthy scratch in the opener. The rookie figures to be the No. 3 RB behind Joe Mixon and Trayveon Williams.

Colts TE Kylen Granson (hamstring) is active for today’s game vs. the Texans. He led Indianapolis TEs in routes and targets in the opener but remains a desperation fantasy play.

Ravens TE Mark Andrews (quad) is active for today’s game vs. the Bengals. He put in a full practice on Friday and should be ready for his usual role today.
