Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.
Jets RB Breece Hall (knee) has been downgraded to out for Sunday's game vs. the Dolphins. He's dealing with a hyperextension and MCL issue in his left knee, according to ESPN's Rich Cimini. That's the same knee in which Hall tore the ACL in October 2022. We haven't heard a timeline for Hall's return, but it's possible that the 3-9 Jets just shut him down for the season. He's worth keeping stashed on all fantasy rosters for now, but Hall owners should be prepping to be without him beyond just this week.
The Eagles are placing TE Dallas Goedert on IR with his knee injury, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. That knocks Goedert out through Week 17, so he can be dropped from all redraft rosters. "The plan is for him to be back at full speed heading into the playoffs," Rapoport adds.
Vikings Edge Andrew Van Ginkel is questionable for Sunday's game against the Falcons, but he seems likely to play. Van Ginkel put in limited practices all week because of a thigh issue. And according to Ben Goessling of The Minnesota Star Tribune, HC Kevin O'Connell "seemed optimistic about most of the questionable players being able to go."
Dolphins LB Anthony Walker is questionable for Sunday's game against the Jets. His progress through the practice week makes it look like he's trending toward playing, though. Walker sat out Wednesday's practice before going limited Thursday and full on Friday. If he can't go, then Tyrel Dodson would likely fill in for the second straight week.
The Titans defense gets a high-upside matchup with the Mac Jones-led Jaguars this Sunday, But the unit also has five potential starters questionable, including both starting LBs and a pair of corners. But they also expect to get CB Chidobe Awuzie back from IR. He hasn't played since Week 3 because of a groin injury.
Cowboys WR CeeDee Lamb (shoulder) returned to a limited practice on Friday. That should have him on track to play vs. the Bengals on Monday night, but we'll see how he's listed on the final injury report on Saturday afternoon.
Seahawks WR D.K. Metcalf (shoulder) is not listed on the final Week 14 injury report. He was a full participant in Friday’s practice and should be ready for a full slate of snaps against the Cardinals this weekend.
Seahawks RB Ken Walker (ankle, calf) is listed as questionable for this weekend’s game vs. the Cardinals. After a limited practice on Wednesday, Walker was sidelined on Thursday and Friday. HC Mike Macdonald said Friday that he’s not sure if Walker will be ready for Sunday’s game. His absence would leave RB Zach Chabonnet in a workhorse role.
Chiefs WR Mecole Hardman (knee) is listed as questionable for Sunday night's game vs. the Chargers. He injured his knee prior to Friday's practice, HC Andy Reid said. Hardman has averaged just 1.2 targets per game this season, so there's hardly any fantasy impact here.
Chargers WR Ladd McConkey (knee, shoulder) is listed as questionable for Sunday night’s game vs. the Chiefs. NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport said early in the week that McConkey was “in doubt” for this one. But he got in three limited practices, which seemingly gives him a shot to play. We’ll look for an update on McConkey on Sunday morning but won’t get Los Angeles’ inactives until a little before 7 pm ET that night.
Rams WR Demarcus Robinson (hand) is not listed on the final Week 14 injury report. He should be available for his usual role on Sunday but isn’t a recommended fantasy play against the Bills’ ninth-ranked WR defense.
Jets WR Allen Lazard (chest) put in a full week of practice and is not listed on the final injury report. He’ll play vs. the Dolphins on Sunday for the first time since Week 7. Lazard should slide back in as New York’s No. 3 WR but would be a desperation fantasy play.
Saints RB Kendre Miller (hamstring) is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game vs. the Giants. He put in a full week of practice and should be healthy enough to play. Miller could quickly emerge as New Orleans’ No. 2 RB, but he shouldn’t be in Week 14 fantasy lineups.
Dolphins RB Raheem Mostert (hip) was limited in practice all week and is listed as questionable for Sunday's game vs. the Jets. He's averaged just 2.5 carries and 1.8 targets over the last four games, so his absence would be just a slight boost to RB De'Von Achane.
Raiders WR Jakobi Meyers (ankle) is listed as questionable for this weekend’s game vs. the Buccaneers. He was sidelined on Thursday but returned to a limited practice on Friday. We’re tentatively expecting Meyers to play in this one. But we’ll look for further updates on his status and get Vegas’ inactives around 11:30 am ET on Sunday.
Raiders RB Alexander Mattison (ankle) was limited in practice all week and is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game vs. the Buccaneers. RB Zamir White (quad) has been ruled out. If Mattison returns for this one, Vegas’ backfield would be tough to project. If he remains out, Sincere McCormick will be in play as a RB3 or Flex.
Eagles WR DeVonta Smith (hamstring) put in a full week of practice and is not listed on the final injury report. He should be ready for a full slate of snaps vs. the Panthers this weekend. As usual, there doesn’t figure to be much passing volume from Philadelphia in that one. But Smith could get a target boost with TE Dallas Goedert out.
Eagles TE Dallas Goedert (knee) is out for Sunday’s game vs. the Panthers. We’ll see if he lands on IR tomorrow. Goedert’s absence leaves Grant Calcaterra as Philadelphia’s lead TE. He registered 83%, 86%, and 91% route rates in the three games Goedert missed earlier this season, totaling nine targets on a 15.3% share. He's a low-end spot start option this week.
Buccaneers RB Bucky Irving (hip, back) is listed as questionable for this weekend’s game vs. the Raiders. He only got in a limited practice on Friday. We should get an update on Irving by Sunday morning and will have Tampa Bay’s inactives by 11:30 am. If he ends up missing this one, Rachaad White would be a borderline RB1 and Sean Tucker at least a RB3 or Flex option.
Buccaneers WR Mike Evans (hamstring, calf) is not listed on the final Week 14 injury report. He only got in a limited practice on Friday but is evidently in no danger of missing Sunday’s game vs. the Raiders. We’ll keep an eye out for any further updates on Evans’ status. But, as of now, consider him a WR1 in fantasy lineups.
