Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.
Panthers WR D.J. Moore (hamstring) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game vs. the Bills. He put in 3 limited practices this week, and HC Matt Rhule said that he expects Moore to play. We'll find out for sure around 11:30 am ET on Sunday. Moore's hamstring will add a bit of risk to his Week 15 fantasy outlook.
Dolphins RBs Myles Gaskin and Salvon Ahmed have been activated from the COVID list. Both guys should be available for Sunday's game vs. the Jets. Gaskin has been operating as Miami's clear lead back, averaging 17.6 carries and 3.2 targets over his last 5 games. That stretch includes a 96-total-yard, 1-TD outing vs. the Jets back in Week 11.
Jaguars RB Carlos Hyde (concussion) is out for Sunday's game vs. the Texans. Between his absence and the departure of clownshow Urban Meyer, James Robinson is back in play as a RB2 with upside.
Washington QB Taylor Heinicke is going on the COVID list after testing positive. With backup Kyle Allen already on there, that will leave Washington starting Kyle Shurmur at QB Sunday against the Eagles, according to NFL Network's Mike Garafolo. ESPN's Adam Schefter reports, however, that Washington plans to start Garrett Gilbert, who is signing with the team today. Gilbert at least has some NFL experience: 1 start for last year's Cowboys. Neither would be a fantasy option, and the whole situation just might make Philadelphia the top team-defense play of the week.
Chargers S Derwin James left Thursday night's game against the Chiefs with a hamstring injury and is questionable to return. James was a game-time decision for the hamstring issue that kept him out in Week 14. It's not immediately clear whether he aggravated that or sustained a new injury, but we'd bet on a tweak of the existing injury.
The Rams have placed EDGE Von Miller on the COVID list, which likely means he'll miss Sunday's game against the Seahawks.
49ers TE George Kittle (knee) returned to a limited practice on Thursday. It's confirmation that he's on track to play vs. the Falcons this weekend, despite sitting out on Wednesday with what HC Kyle Shanahan called "knee soreness." We'll update Kittle's status again on Friday afternoon.
Chargers S Derwin James (hamstring) is active for tonight's game against the Chiefs. He'll carry some risk with the hamstring issue that kept him out last week, but James resides low in DB1 territory in our Week 15 rankings.
Vikings WR Adam Thielen (ankle) did not practice on Thursday. Recovering from a high-ankle sprain, he's unlikely to play vs. the Bears on Monday night. That'll keep K.J. Osborn in the WR3 mix.
Washington RB J.D. McKissic (concussion) remained sidelined on Thursday. He's looking unlikely to play vs. the Eagles this weekend. Good news for RB Antonio Gibson.
Washington WR Terry McLaurin (concussion) returned to a limited practice on Thursday. He's made some progress through the protocol and has a chance to be cleared for Sunday's game vs. the Eagles. We'll get another update on his status tomorrow.
Cowboys RB Tony Pollard (foot) returned to a limited practice on Thursday. It sounds like he's on track to play vs. the Giants this weekend, but his volume and effectiveness is uncertain due to that partially torn plantar fascia.
Cardinals RB James Conner (ankle) missed his 2nd straight practice on Thursday. His injury isn't believed to be serious, but there's certainly a chance that he doesn't play vs. the Lions this weekend. Check back tomorrow for another update.
Bills QB Josh Allen (foot) remained limited in Thursday's practice. All signs continue to point toward him playing vs. the Panthers this weekend, but check back tomorrow for another update.
Patriots RB Damien Harris (hamstring) is listed as questionable for Saturday night's game vs. the Colts. He put in 3 limited practices this week. As usual, there's been nothing out of New England on Harris' status, but we're tentatively expecting him to play. We'll get New England's inactives around 7 pm ET on Saturday.
Raiders TE Darren Waller (knee, back) has been ruled out for Saturday's game vs. the Browns. Waller is "hopeful for a return soon," according to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler, so perhaps we'll see him back for Week 16. TE Foster Moreau gets another start on Saturday.
Chargers WR Keenan Allen is officially active for tonight's game vs. the Chiefs. He should be back in his usual role after missing last week's game on the COVID list.
Chargers RB Austin Ekeler (ankle) is active for tonight's game vs. the Chiefs. NFL Network's Taylor Bisciotti reported earlier today that Ekeler "won't get a full workload" tonight, but we've yet to hear anything concrete on a snap count or touch count. It's also worth noting that RB Lary Rountree is a healthy scratch, which can only be taken as a positive for how confident the Chargers are in Ekeler holding up tonight.
Bucs RB Leonard Fournette (ankle) missed his 2nd straight practice on Thursday. It's officially time to worry about his Week 15 status. We'll see if Fournette practices tomorrow and then how he's listed on the final injury report. His absence would make Ronald Jones a borderline RB1, despite a matchup vs. the Saints' top-ranked RB defense.
Bears WR Allen Robinson has been placed on the COVID list. He'll likely miss Monday night's game vs. the Vikings. Robinson, of course, has been a major disappointment this season and shouldn't have been in your Week 15 fantasy plans. His absence is a slight upgrade for WR Darnell Mooney and TE Cole Kmet.
