Raiders RB Ashton Jeanty found little room to run against the Broncos on Thursday night, averaging just 3.2 yards per carry. But he was fed 19 times, compiling 60 rushing yards. That included a four-yard TD in the first quarter. Jeanty was similarly inefficient in the passing game, catching three of five targets for three yards. He lost seven yards on a blown-up screen and had a ball bounce off his hands and turn into an INT.
2025 Fantasy Football Impact
This was not a great performance by Jeanty or the Raiders offense, which scored just seven points. But Jeanty came away with 15.3 PPR points in a short-week road game against the sixth-ranked RB defense. Not a disaster.
The supporting cast remains a major concern for Jeanty, especially after QB Geno Smith and G Jackson Powers-Johnson were injured in Denver. Smith is dealing with a quad contusion, according to HC Pete Carroll, and should be fine for Week 11. But Powers-Johnson is expected to be out for a while with an ankle injury. That won't help a struggling offensive line.
Jeanty's usage is awesome, though. He's come out of the bye week as a true workhorse:
- Week 9: 90% snap rate, 68% carry share, 13% target share
- Week 10: 87% snap rate, 76% carry share, 19% target share
That level of playing time and volume at least lays a nice floor for Jeanty's weekly production. And the ceiling will be elevated in Week 11 against the Cowboys' 30th-ranked RB defense.
Beyond that, Jeanty gets tough matchups against the Browns (Week 12) and Broncos (Week 14) before a cushy Week 17 draw vs. the Giants. The rookie should at least produce as a steady RB2 the rest of the way, with some RB1-level weeks mixed in.
