Packers QB Jordan Love threw a season-low 21 passes in Sunday's win over the Vikings. He completed 14 for a season-low 139 yards, no TDs, and no INTs. The game marked the third time in the past four weeks that Love went without a TD pass.
2025 Fantasy Football Impact
It's not totally fluky. Love logged 35 red-zone pass attempts over the first seven games, averaging five per contest. He has tallied just 12 over the past four games -- three per week -- with half of those coming in the loss to Carolina.
Even that game found just one of Love's attempts coming from inside the 10-yard line, according to Pro Football Reference. He has two such attempts over the past four games after 11 through the first seven weeks.
Love did play through a significant left shoulder injury Sunday, which occurred early in the Week 11 win over the Giants. That might have contributed to the Packers dropping back on just 38% of their snaps against the Vikings, but there's been no larger trend in that direction.
Green Bay dropped back on 60% or more of its snaps each of the previous three games. That span included two losses and the win over the Giants, which Josh Jacobs left early with a knee injury.
But three consecutive victories before that found the Packers dropping back on 60.2% of plays in all.
Week 13 Presents Dual Challenges
The Packers would probably like to limit Love's passing volume for at least as long as he's dealing with the shoulder injury, especially if they get Jacobs back.
But that could be challenged by a visit to Detroit to face the league's No. 2 scoring offense.
The four-day turnaround for the midday Thanksgiving kickoff adds a physical challenge for Love.
He doesn't look like a good fantasy bet for Week 13. But Green Bay's play selection -- and Love's performance -- could instruct whether we should consider the Packers QB for a Week 14 home date with the Bears.
Week 15 holds a trip to Denver that you'll want to avoid regardless of Love's shoulder health.
