Seahawks QB Sam Darnold went without a TD pass for the third time in five games in Sunday's narrow victory over the Colts. He completed 22 of 36 throws (61.1%) for 271 yards (7.5 yards per attempt), with no TDs or INTs. With one game left to go in Week 15 as of this writing, his fantasy total sits 24th among QBs for the week by ESPN scoring. That will mark his fourth fantasy finish outside the top 20 among the past six weeks.
2025 Fantasy Football Impact
The biggest change in Darnold's production vs. his the early part of this season has been a crash in TD rate ... which might be more of a correction.
Through Week 8, Darnold was rocking a 7.4% passing-TD rate (17 TDs on 228 attempts).
Since Week 9, that's down to 3.4% (5 TDs on 162 attempts).
The lower number sits far closer to Darnold's career 4.4% TD rate. His full-season rate or 5.6% now trails the 6.4% Darnold posted last year for Minnesota, but it also ranks sixth-best among qualifiers for this season and remains above the common league average (around 4.5% annually).
Darnold will probably find TD luck swinging back in his favor at least one of the next two weeks, but he was due for a downturn vs. the way this season started.
Week 16 holds a rematch with the Rams, who held Darnold without a TD and picked him four times in Week 11. Expect to find the Seattle QB deep in QB2 territory of our Week 16 rankings.
The following week holds a much friendlier Carolina matchup. But don't be surprised if that contest includes lighter passing volume for a Seahawks offense that ranks 31st in pass attempts for the year.
